I can't find any for that price. Can you give a clue which times to try? Thanks.
Nothing like those prices Birmingham - Newcastle
Just on east coast service... Stick it in the title op
These crappy "deals" don't make up for the massive off-peak fare increases since Virgin took over the franchise.
It's Virgin Trains EAST COAST, and ONLY for this coming weekend

Other Hot Cakes "Example fares and routes they give:

London King’s Cross to/from Leeds - £5 each way (£20 First Class)
Edinburgh to/from Newcastle - £5 each way (£20 First Class)
York to/from Edinburgh - £10 each way (£30 First Class)
Newcastle to/from London King's Cross - £10 each way (£30 First Class)
London King's Cross to/from Edinburgh - £15 each way (£40 First Class)
Aberdeen to/from London King's Cross - £20 each way (£45 First Class)

Note that while the offer says it runs from non-existent dates ie "00.01 Wednesday 25 May and 23.59 Thursday 26 May 2017" it is definitely live now on Wed 24 May for this coming weekend
Very good offer if you can find it. Just booked a day return from Doncaster to London this Saturday for £25, out in first class, back in standard!

Not to mention the ageing, scruffy rolling stock & poor customer service
newcastle to london 27th 7am £30 first class

london to newcastle 28th 19.30pm £30first class or £10 standard
re "Weekend" First Class, recognise it's a slimmed down offering versus weekday - eg no free booze (and similarly watch out for cut-down on bank holidays too)

Really useful deal for those wanting a day trip on the east coast line this weekend, many thanks for posting.
Shame it's not weekend when I am travelling to London. Nice way to sell seats in the exceptionally hot weather when few people will want to sit on a train.

Breakfast was pretty much yoghurt, fruit, pain au chocolat or a muffin as said in the menu link above. Thought they might of had something simple and hot like a bacon bun but no.
Came round 4 times I think between Doncaster and Kings Cross.
