The promoter of this promotion is Arriva Rail North limited (trading as Northern) of Northern House, 9 Rougier St, York YO1 6HZ (the “Promoter”).

The “Promotional Routes” means any of the Promoter’s rail services available to view at northernrailway.co.uk/sale.
The “Start Date” shall mean the 19th August 2019.

A “Qualifying Ticket” means any single adult or child Standard Advance Ticket purchased online (northernrailway.co.uk/or via the Promoter’s mobile phone application (northernrailway.co.uk/tra…app) on or after the Start Date that is valid for travel between 1st and 30th September 2019 (inclusive) on the Promotional Routes.
For the avoidance of doubt a return ticket does not constitute a Qualifying Ticket.

The price of a Qualifying Ticket shall be:
a. 10p per adult Qualifying Ticket; and
b. 5p per child Qualifying Ticket (where a child is aged 5 to 15 years).

Over 80,000 Qualifying Tickets will be made available to purchase from the Start Date.

Up to two children under the age of 5 years may travel free with each adult that holds a Qualifying Ticket.

All purchases of Qualifying Tickets are subject to the Promoter’s terms and conditions available to view at northernrailway.co.uk/leg…vel and northernrailway.co.uk/leg…ons
Qualifying Tickets must be purchased in advance of travel and are only available while stocks last.

A Qualifying Ticket cannot be purchased in conjunction with a Railcard.

A Qualifying Ticket is valid for travel ONLY on the date and service stated on the ticket and passengers must travel in the Class and reserved seat (if applicable) shown on the ticket.
Passengers may not start, break and resume, or end their journey at any intermediate station except to change to/from connecting trains as shown on their Qualifying Ticket or other valid travel itinerary
Qualifying Tickets are non-refundable.

You'd have to pay me a great deal more than 10p before I step foot aboard another one of Northern's hovel-on-wheels.

I cancelled my season ticket in December, and haven't looked back. No more late trains, no more cancelled services. Sitting in a queue of traffic on the M60 has been much more stress-free.

No matter what dates I put in for a midweek day out I still can't find 1 fare at anything other than the normal fare. Any where from Scunthorpe is full price and it is one of the stations that are offering flash sale tickets.Am I missing something?

On Sat 14th, I've booked Chesterfield-Leeds for 10p ... and then on Sunday 15th, Barnsley-Chesterfield for the same. 20p for two journeys? Result!

What I've been told is, it depends on the operator.
Even though it's a shorter journey they don't normally accept it.
Personally I wouldn't take the risk.
I'm just gunna get a taxi to bolton.

Others will know better, depends on how much of a jobsworth the guard is.

I've heard horror stories on I think Virgin on West Coast Mainline, where to go from Preston it was about half the cost of going from Lancaster. So people were buying tickets from Lancaster and getting off early at Preston.

Stories of the guard trying to physically prevent people with these tickets getting off and threatening fraud.

Thanks, unfortunately it just gives me "N/A: This ticket is not available for your journey, please select another ticket type." when I try that. I have some more fiddling about to do it seems.

Tried about 30 routes over the last 45 mins- not a single 10p fare but plenty of £3.50 and £7.50 flash advance fares. Guess the 10p is just a loss leader to get people to buy the more expensive advance fares. Good luck!!

7th of September About 6-7 in morning return for 4 people I see that on the website it says Liverpool lime street to Crewe so if I got tickets all the way there we could just do a return to Crewe to stoke on Trent Alton towers I think
