So if you live near the station and you have an Egg Card GO GO GO!!

...whatever next?!

Imagine reading this a couple of years ago. Come on everyone lets all rush out and spend a quid for a litre of petrol. This country is disgraceful and the government should be ashamed of themselves.

If you haven't done so already, why not join pipeline www.pipelinecard.org/default.html

I posted 82p a litre diesel on here yesterday for Auchan Calais and the moderators removed it as it is not in uk .......Auchan Calais have an english website with fuel prices posted on it

Close! It's actually East Marketgait, in between East Dock Street and the Blackscroft Roundabout, beside Borders and the Reading Rooms.

This has been voted cold.... because people that don't live here are annoyed I guess, what a great use of the heat system :whistling:

Stop thinking of it as petrol and think of it as a deal and £'s

You have a corner shop that normally sells things for £60 but for a few days only they are selling it for £57 - why should it get voted hot even if you live there?

Cheapest is 102.9 around my side of Kent (Shell - Bluebell hill), most expensive is about 106.9 in most Texaco's.

****in' disgrace! Will take a look at the link posted earlier in the thread.

If that makes it the cheapest corner shop around, then what do you think?

UK taxation **** notwithstanding, cheapest is hottest, wherever you live.

Thanks so much for that, cheap fill up tomorrow for me :-)

Oh wait, it is only 2p cheaper than elsewhere - so if you fill up with 50 litres you'll save £1 but for every mile you drive out of your way to get there it will cost you 16p in petrol. I can see some people being out of pocket on this deal

However you are right of course.. I'm just jealous - Have fun celebrating with your £1 ;-)
with all that queuing and drivng around you've deserved it.

Tomorrow I'm going to try biodiesel.

It's 86p per litre and I'm advised that almost any diesel car (since 1990) will run fine on it.

I'm going to speak to the provider later today before I buy tomorrow but all seems well.

Where in Cardiff did you see this? £101.9 at my local tesco, using my barclaycard brings it down to about a £1 a litre plus clubcard points.

Where do think this station is, top of a mountain? It would take me about 5 minutes from my house to get there. If I actually had a car :-D

It's the cheapest, therefore it's the hottest, don't let geography make you sour.

Seeing as I can only ever get about 35 litres in my car I would only be making a saving of 70p at this garage, Going on the published figures for the national average petrol consumption for urban driving 28.5 MPG it would cost me about 30p to drive 2 miles from your house ( 5 minutes = 2 miles, right?) (not that you would ever invite me to your house) so 60p there and back. - now if you are happy spending 10 minutes of your time going to fill up for a saving of 10p on a £35 spend then you have every right to vote this as hot.
It's a 2% discount and not worth going out of your way for.
My final word

Don't automatically assume that this isn't already the closest garage for anyone, it's by the main road in a mixed residential and retail area, for lots of people, it's the local shop.

I suppose you could always walk to your nearest garage with a couple of Jerry cans, that would certainly negate the cost of fuel expended actually driving there, that would save you going out of your way by having to drive a car for 5 mins, spending most of that time idling at traffic lights because this city garage doesn't reside on a motorway. Or a mountain.

Like I said, no avoiding it, cheapest is hottest, no matter what bizarrely convoluted rationalisation anyone tries to concoct against it.

Banned

hot, im gonna drive up there tomorrow from exeter.

I've cracked the having-to-actually-go-to-a-garage-to-get-fuel conundrum!

]Buy it online!

You'll never have to get into your car ever again! :giggle:

Just in case anyone gets their hopes up, it's a spoof site that's been up for a while, sorry.

Dont forget if you have an Asda credit card you get 2p a litre off at their forecourts..as fuel rises its getting a sensible move specially as they tend to be 1-2p a litre cheaper before credit card discount...
