Re my older post about Berocca in OneBelow stores (15 tablets for £1).

Went back to Argyle Street earlier to see if they had more Berocca. No luck but I noticed they have generic effervescent Vitamin C tablets (1000mg I think) and Energy Release tablets.

15 tablets in the Berocca pack, versus 20 in the Energy Release. Turns out they are almost identical, see below.

The Berocca I have are "Tropical" Flavour, versus "Orange" flavour for the Energy Release.
3356785.jpgBerocca Ingredients (Energy Release values in brackets/bold, for comparison):
Vitamin B1 10.4mg (10.4mg), Vitamin B2 13.6mg (13.6mg), Niacin 45.3mg (45.3mg), Vitamin B6 7.1mg (7.1mg), Folic Acid 366µg (200µg), Vitamin B12 8.6µg (8.6µg), Biotin 130µg (130µg), Pantothenic Acid (B5) 22.7mg (22.7mg), Vitamin C 476mg (476mg), Magnesium 92mg (95mg), Calcium 92mg (nil), Zinc 9mg (9mg).

Very slight differences overall:

Folic Acid is 366µg in Berocca vs 200µg in Energy Release tablets
Magnesium is 92mg in Berocca vs 95mg in the Energy Release tablets
No Calcium mentioned in the Energy Release tablets.

85p in Aldi

Don't recall seeing them in my aldi but I'll report back later, going to visit mine in a while.
I buy these from home bargains they're just over £1. I always had Berocca but checked the ingredients in these and everything is the same so started these about 6 months ago.
What they have in Aldi.. 39270500-YCsU5.jpgVitamin C 476mg
Thiamin (Vitamin B1) 11mg
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) 12.8mg
Niacin 42.8mg
Vitamin B6 8.7mg
Folic Acid 342µg
Vitamin B12 8.3µg
Biotin 22mg
Pantothenic Acid 22mg
Calcium 120mg
Magnesium 102mg
Zinc 9mg

Energy Release also comes in 20s, seems to be only in Tropical Flavour, some people hate it, never tried it, didn't even know it existed till today!39270500-GO5tb.jpgEdit: On a tangent, some bonus Aldi items!

Shaun The Sheep Onesie was marked down £5.9939270500-0wNvD.jpgLacura Hot Cloth Cleanser Set (with muslin cloth), Original, Rose, Pink Clay, Vitamin C (4 x 75ml), £7.9939270500-5F5ak.jpgVictory (dupe of 1 Million), Masculine (dupe of JPG Male), L'eau (Acqua Di Gio-alike) - £6.99 100ml EDT - think these were in Aldi last year.
Steel (mentioned on the shelf label but not pictured) is apparently a copy of Abercrombie & Fitch's Fierce Cologne.

Cheaper in Lidl and home bargains
Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge of every single product on the market or its equivalents/prices, just trying to be helpful!

I think I bought the boots own brand equivalent a few years back it was substantially cheaper than normal priced berocca and had more of pretty much every vitamin in it but didn't taste as 'nice' if any of them can be said to truly taste nice! Just another potential option!

Yeah, I didn't realise there were so many out there.

There's even a Wilko one - Energy Release (though, my nearest Wilko is in Coatbridge or Hamilton - too far away) £1.50 for 20. Can't see the nutritional information.

Will keep an eye out in Lidl, as I'm in there pretty often.39272470-iOtGA.jpg

The world of supplements and medicines is a very dodgy one. Many times, you're paying another brand more for the exact same ingredients in a different packaging
Snake oil.
vit c and zinc much the better in Aldi 85 p - don’t get ripped of by Tesco and the like ! some one said snake oil / can never have enough c and zinc !!
15 mg of zinc each - i take 4 a day to gym !

Snake oil.

Not snake oil but can harm you due to excess sodium . Better take normal multivitamins with out sodium to make the fizz . Those with high blood pressure , these can be harmful.
These taste strongly of aspartame or whatever sweetener they have in them. Hopefully the Aldi variety isn't as yucky
