I had a mavic pro and it's was an incredible machine. I sold it after realising I had no use for it what so ever.

It's a great buy as extra batteries are a must.

I've just sold my mavic pro and it was a awesome drone but I'm the same with the previous post and didn't have the time for it.
New laws are to be brought in soon by the looks of it where everyone has to be registered and take a training course to fly a drone because of idiots flying near planes and around their flight paths. Was looking to get this till I saw the news this morning don't know if I should now.

It will be in the form of an online proficiency test. Pretty straightforward.

Why should having to register and pass a simple test put anyone off? The real question you need to ask is can you justify spending a thousand pounds on something you may only use a few times? Once you have shot a few videos of some fields and trees what are you intending doing with the footage?

Spending the money on a good digital camera and tripod (to enable selfies) is probably a better investment. If you want to fly RC models there are much cheaper alternatives and may hold your interest for longer (especially if you join a club).

Damn that is such a sensible and straight to the point answer.

What's the online world coming to.
Thanks just bought one.
Any info out there about getting around the UK range issue?
Great price for an awesome drone with accessories.
Tryin to convince the wife , what kitchen activities can this do, can it whip cream? heat!!

It would probably take a high res picture of the receipt for the kitchen, not sure if that helps with negotiations.
Cheaper on prime day.
The developer options are simply commented out in the code, just edit in notepad (remove the //) and you can do away with the UK distance restrictions. The UK guidelines do say that you should always fly line of site and also, it is very bursty when you lose visual on your 1 grand investment so use common sense.

Interesting.
Any further details out there? I thought they had made the code tamper proof.

Because you wantes to fly near planes?! Ha only joking.
I wouldn't worry. If anything, I feel this morning's news is good news. It means drone users will be more sensible and as a result maybe they'll get less bad press....

Be gone, there is no place for logic here, this is hukd we only impulse buy things we don't need because they are cheap or we snipe all available items cheap to up sell later on eBay for profit. All other possibilities are Moot

I got mine from techinthebasket for 800 insured delivery (from Manchester). There is a deal on here just now for 50 quid batteries (I paid 69). So, drone and 3 batteries for 900 is possible just now, I doubt black Friday will beat that.
Unless you're strictly into voyeurism... who else would care to spend this much?

What's your experience with this company? I note products originally come from Hong Kong where they're based and they do not provide a warranty other than directly with themselves which could prove a nightmare if having to return a faulty one. The saving is amazing and I was looking at taking the gamble and getting this too via my credit card for extra protection but am still not 100% sure due to the amount and potential for future problems if faulty.
Yeah I was wondering about that.. it's white stock isn't it?
Or grey.. it's a colour stock anyway
There's a company called pro-camera selling it for £1099 at present and state it is uk stock and model, so maybe less warranty issues!? Appears all uk based and can't see any links to HK or china.

What range issues I have mavic pro and I haven't had issue going +3km from my location you really shouldnt have much need going any further than that considering you should keep eye contact with it at all times 🤣
