Don’t use this site, it is just a tool to gather email addresses of security conscious individuals who will then be spammed till end of days.

No, this site is legit, owned and operated by one of the worlds leading computer security analysts. Obviously, you're expected to do some basic research before providing any information to anyone online.

Brill thanks!

Discovered I was pwned on two breaches
Pointless .. tried an account and it stated 7 sites but doesn't show you?
I'm not sure what I do with the information which was 1 "other" site. So I guess that's two now.
Not sure of the value of this search. basically the answer is always going to be "yes you've been hacked or could have been hacked in the past" ...... some of the hacks are known, some that yahoo had they covered up for a few years. so even if its not out in the open, chances are , your accounts have been hacked. plan on that basis and you are probably onto a winner. such as changing passwords regularly and dont use the same one everywhere.

It tells you further down the page probably, as said above most of this is to late just make sure you change your passwords regular, have long passwords, don’t use the same password or even usernames across sites and if your email allows have different log in email than your regular email.

Onliner Spambot (spam list): In August 2017, a spambot by the name of Onliner Spambot was identified by security researcher Benkow moʞuƎq. The malicious software contained a server-based component located on an IP address in the Netherlands which exposed a large number of files containing personal information. In total, there were 711 million unique email addresses, many of which were also accompanied by corresponding passwords. A full write-up on what data was found is in the blog post titled Inside the Massive 711 Million Record Onliner Spambot Dump.
This is strange.....

I’ve just run my main e-mail address on this site and it says the address and password have been stolen from 8 sites.

I have never visited or registered on any of these sites. Ever.

So, maybe there’s something true about them trying to get people to use 1Password. I just don’t know.

Just thought I’d tell you.

I could speculate. So I will - no specific comment on Paddy Power intended.

One of the big challenges Cyber Criminals face is how to launder and extract proceeds of crime from the net without leaving a digital trail. Gaming sites provide lots of angles for doing so particularly if there is peer to peer betting. As an example, I could open a poker account, route dirty money into and play badly, losing some money to other people and some to other personae I own, perhaps with a few steps in between, then cash those out. Even with good access to audit trail of what went on it would be hard to say who the bad guys were, and who were the innocent bystanders. And I have a plausible explanation of how I suddenly got rich.

So why pinch other peoples emails to do so, rather than create false ones. My guess, bearing in mind you would want to cycle through lots of accounts, is simply that these are more likely to look real and to pass any automated checks, than accounts you generate programmatically.

I guess the point is you know which of your passwords have been leaked, so if you reuse those same credentials on any other sites then you should change them.

This site doesn't show all compromises, so make sure you change passwords every so often
Every site that needs to be secure is now protected by 2 step authorisation,i still subscriobe to this site though as it is nice to know.but the 2 step suthorisation has all but put an end to having any of my accounts hacked.
Don't pay attention to the trolls. This is an excellent service that anyone can benefit from.
Also note that a breach doesn't have to include your password. It's still good to know if other identifiable information like your address or payment information has been breached.

Bonus for the webmasters out there: you can subscribe your domain to the service and be alerted of any breaches that concern email addresses on your domain.

It really doesn't say. Just one breach as a result, then subscription instructions on a red/Scarlet background then a explanation of different breaches, social media buttons and the page footer. Sadly no actual info.
I'll try on my laptop rather than a mobile.
