Thought this was an excellent price if you are wanting a getaway.

Wychwood Park, near Crewe, is a great base from which to explore the "genteel" (Lonely Planet) county of Cheshire. Known for its dramatic landscapes and undulating hills, Cheshire is also home to some interesting towns and cities.

Chester is an hour's drive from the hotel, and has a cathedral founded in 1092, a racecourse and a zoo.The World of Wedgwood visitor centre is around 30 minutes' drive from the hotel -- you can take a tour around the porcelain factory or explore the museum and flagship store. National Trust property Tatton Park is also within a 45-minute drive of the hotel, and Buxton, Alton Towers, Old Trafford stadium and the market town of Nantwich are less than an hour away by car. Manchester city centre is a little over an hour's drive away. The property has 108 bedrooms, all with free Wi-Fi. There is a bar and restaurant on site. The 18-hole golf course has hosted European Tour qualifying events, and there's also a pro shop.

Not good reviews for this place...........

Went there this weekend on this deal.
The food was good, cant argue with a three course dinner and full buffet breakfast.
The room itself was fine, the grouting on tiles in bathroom floor were coming away and needs re-grouting, however the rest of the room was fine and importantly all was clean.
Staff were excellent and helpful, location was good.
Free wifi and someone had sense to have plug sockets near the bed!

Yes i wouldnt pay £200 to stay here as it is a bit basic and needs some maintenance / modernisation, however for £79 including a glass of Prosecco, evening meal and breakfast was excellent in my opinion.

It seems a common theme with hotels - some people think they should be getting 5* Ritz hotels for 79 quid and just have too high an expectation, whilst people who have a good stay tend not to leave reviews unfortunately.
