Spotted this and thought this was excellent value for a little getaway.
Overnight stays for two are now £79 and include:
  • Accommodation in a Standard Double or Twin Room, with full English breakfast, for two
  • A glass of prosecco on arrival (worth £6 per person)
  • A 3-course set-menu dinner (worth £25 per person)
Why We Love It
  • The hotel is in rolling Cheshire countryside and has an 18-hole golf course
  • The World of Wedgwood visitor centre is around 30 minutes' drive from the hotel
  • The Peak District, Old Trafford stadium and Chester Racecourse are within an hour's drive. Central Manchester is a little over an hour's drive away
Overview
Wychwood Park, near Crewe, is a great base from which to explore the "genteel" (Lonely Planet) county of Cheshire. Known for its dramatic landscapes and undulating hills, Cheshire is also home to some interesting towns and cities. Chester is an hour's drive from the hotel, and has to a cathedral founded in 1092, a racecourse and a zoo.

The World of Wedgwood visitor centre is around 30 minutes' drive from the hotel -- you can take a tour around the porcelain factory or explore the museum and flagship store. National Trust property Tatton Park is also within a 45-minute drive of the hotel, and Buxton, Alton Towers, Old Trafford stadium and the market town of Nantwich are less than an hour away by car. Manchester city centre is a little over an hour's drive away.

The property has 108 bedrooms, all with free Wi-Fi. There is a bar and restaurant on site. The 18-hole golf course has hosted European Tour qualifying events, and there's also a pro shop.

I've stayed here with work. It's a bit tired and dated and the staff don't really care. okay for a work stay over but I wouldn't take my family here. The title says it all really "free glass of Prosecco worth £6" That's steep for a good Hotel!
I seem to remember it was £8 for a glass of Rioja

I agree about it being dated, we stayed a couple of years ago and thought exactly the same thing. Unless, of course, they've spent some money on it since then. Having looked at the room photos it doesn't look like it.

Already posted and poor hotel
