Interesting enough for those past the beginner stage but can be a bit daunting to beginners due to lack of diagrams. Knowledge of the algebraic system of notation is needed to properly understand the book and it's concepts.

Wish beginner chess books wouldn't cover the guico piano as it's such a dull opening but I like that the book covers both 'safe' and risky openings and explains why they are safe/risky.

Despite what I said above, I do recommend this for those starting out - but do have a board in front of you otherwise it might take a while to understand what pieces move where for each opening.
