lol, your so sarcastic, but i understand you might get only up to that speed, with all those strings of yours.
So no wonder you beat it. It;s a tad slow.

Does Anyone know ,what batteries the car itself takes? I can see the controller takes 3 AA.

it will be built in recharge from controller

Confused about the price you paid? Or was !

Comes up £15 for lambo and Camaro. Spill the beans, how do you get em both for £6?

last time i reserved items at halfords and was told to collect. I went to collect and they said there was no stock so their system is not that good. best to call them and make sure they have your reserved items before going to collect.

That's out of order, and if it was me i kick off. Not because of something trivial about price, but what if you made a specific journey which meant you went out your way, and incurred cost? They are liable, end of!

I agree but no point kicking off. I did say to the manager that it was unacceptable that i wasn't called when they had all my details. I know best now to call them before making the journey :-)

sorry but i disagree. It's not fair. If you do a click and collect link, then you should be professional to honour it.
I know allot say for various reasons. But they generally rip us off anyway. So stand up and fight your corner.
It's consumer rights. A threat of social media, might push them in the right direction

Yes I'm sure a company commonly referred to online as 'Halfrauds' would be aghast at a bit of bad publicity on social media.

Mine handled like a barge, no suspension, loads of understeer and have to recharge every 50 miles.

5km/ph? is that the acceleration? If so, it should be in metres/second/second and the Si is m/s².

This! I put Halfords in the same bracket as PC World in terms of reserve and collect. I made a 15 mile trip to pick up something....to be told that my product wasnt through the back.....the cashier then rummages through the aisle to try and find it, to no avail. Luckily enough I managed to find the product in a reduced bin by the checkouts.

I dont think 'kicking off' would do anyone any good. You'll get nowhere and end up coming out frustrated. They couldnt have been less interested in me not getting my product - I was just lucky I did find it after numerous apologies! I'd be managing my own expectations or calling before setting out to grab one of these.....

When i say kick off, what do you actually think i mean by that? I am talking about making a complaint, pointing out the offer, there promise to reserve, there obligation, using words like 'miss leading' (thats for another scenario i had). Not beating the cashier up.
What i am saying is, it'a not right, and you need to say your not happy. It's against the law to falsely advertise something

Appears to have been a fault with the website. Halfords just took the site offline briefly and when it came back up the misprice was fixed.

Yes they should phone you if something isn't available. That is called courtesy and the last I checked it wasn't a right or a law.
Also advertising something in stock isn't a breach of consumer rights either if they don't happen to have it.
For all you know they had one in stock, then as an online shopper clicks reserve someone is standing at the till buying the last one before it can be picked by staff.

The attitude you are showing here is exactly why people make a fool of themselves in shops. Either speak the truth in a factual and relevant manner or don't bother at all.

picked mine up no problem.

Reserved thanks :-)

Sorry Lee, I wasnt suggesting beating anyone up - honestly I felt so annoyed when I attended their store, but my comments were dismissed with a "ah well, sorry this time" and I felt it wasnt worth piping up. I just think these stores weasel out of everything one way or another and I dont think it's worth the hassle putting in any effort to name and shame them. I raised just about all of your points and suggest they remove their reserve and collect functionality from their website if it's merely a stock checker at best - there is no reserving of anything going on! I was lucky to get my product in the end - but dread for anyone else who has travelled to be met with shoulder shrugging...

Well maybe it was my misunderstanding, but one would think there would be a law to protect the consumer against such of thing. As companies could use this tactic, just to get bodies into their stores.
As for my attitude, it's not that i want to cause trouble. I just believe in being fair towards the consumer. As for scenario you said about it, it shouldn't happen, but i know there is a possibility. As it would rely upon how good there stock control regulation, from a point of sale at a till, would deduce from the stock they already had.

3 available in Shoreham By Sea. 9v needed for controller and 3 x aaa for the car according to the box.

There was a offering of pcworld selling reams of 5 paper for the price of one. I did a reserve and collect, and rather than the 2 minutes it should have took, end up being 10. Because it was miss priced for 1 i think. I did pipe up, and said about i travelled ex amount of miles on a bus. I use the words of misleading. I got my paper.
What i am saying is, you need to be on the ball when something like that happens. You might be pleasantly superized!
