The curse of terrible Indian cook books.

I'm known as someone who likes indian food so I've been gifted multiple cookbooks that are basically "cook the chicken, add curry paste and a tin of tomatoes/coconut milk" for every recipe. Such a waste of ink.
You don’t need curry powder to make a good curry .

They’re not all absolutely terrible - the butter chicken looks decent for example. Others look very half-assed, and there is a lot of curry powder in there. I guess you could sub that for your own ground ‘masala’ but on the whole this book does seem like a waste of time as there are better recipes even on YouTube.

It also mentions the other free books, so I wonder if this has ever been anything but free.
