I've just picked up a child booster seat £1 at my local morrisons in manchester. It looked like a promotion deal so well worth trying! Suitable for aged 4 and up.

Anyone else seen these

Months ago at the start of the year when they were having a big clear. Sack the manager at the Manchester store and bring in some who can do the job properly.

None in Bridgwater store tonight :[

Which Manchester Morrisons? Anymore left?

Leftovers from January baby event. Probably been buried in the corner of the warehouse for months....

looks hard onthe bum!

...and that was what she said!

If you value your childs safety put them in a proper seat preferably with ISOFIX or harnesses.

These are only suitable for children approaching the height requirement to not need a booster seat and offer no side impact protection or head support whatsoever

That's exactly what they're for: children too tall for a full forward facing seat (with harnesses) or the plastic seat with a back (and head protection but no harness) but not yet over the 1.4m that the law demands or the 1.5m that adult seatbelts are actually designed for. The problem is that even at 1.5m kids may be tall enough for adult car seats to sit correctly on their shoulder but the lap belt will cut into their waist and damage internal organs in an accident - a simple booster seat is all that's needed to reduce this type of injury.

If you're ferrying other people's kids about with any regularity then 2 or 3 of these is a great investment - I'd happily let a friend give my son a lift in one of these, but I wouldn't let him get in a car without a booster
