Yeah, child seats are not something anyone should scrimp on.

Theres nothing wrong with this seat its isofix, bought it at full price. Fitted better in my car than the alternative branded one. Does really good on safety testing.

r44/04 is a basic safety standard that all car seats must pass in order to be sold in this country, only maxi cosy and britax test above and beyond that level, this carseat comply with the basic standards nothing more.

Was also in Bury at £5 but it didn't say what it was reduced from

Can you tell me what this seat is please

Its Halfords own brand. Exactly it did good! I wanted Maxi Cosi and none would fit, this did.

These look worryingly similar to Nania car seats, one of which recently failed slightly more stringent testing than that required for ECE r44/04 and another that was recalled a couple of years ago as failed completely.
There's likely to be a reason why they're offloading them for a fiver!

We have this seat and a similar halfords version as well. Both isofix nothing wrong with them at all - halfords aren't some back street company. If you can get for this price it's a great deal.

Can someone post a direct link for these cheap iso-fix seats i can't find at the prices stated?:{

They are not Nania. They are Halfords car seats....is there something wrong with my writing that this cant be understood?

none in norwich

We have recently bought a car seat very similar to the Halfords car seat (i.e. looks identical) it was a nania cosmo sp . This also looks identical to the car seat tested by Which.

http://www.which.co.uk/news/2014/10/safety-alert-replace-babystart-multi-recline-child-car-seat-382967/

I had a look at how the top buckles were attached on the nania sp and I deemed it insufficient. Im not an expert on this but I just thought what is the point of a car seat if it could catastrophically fail. Nobody aims to have a crash but if you do you not want to be thinking I wish I had spent a bit more.

As a result we sent back the nania and just bought a kiddycare isofix instead.

Not everyone can afford to spend £100's on a car seat so brilliant price for an isofix seat that isn't from a cowboy company or second hand!

i didn't say it was a Nania seat (is there something wrong with MY writing that this can't be understood?!?) - I said it looked SIMILAR to the Nania seats.
TeamTex are the company that make car seats for Nania and a couple of other stores/brands so just because this car seat is branded 'Halfords' doesn't mean that it definitely isn't made by the same company as the Nania seats.
I was merely warning people who weren't aware of the recent issues with the Nania seat that they might want to research more thoroughly in case it is the same seat under a different guise (that just hasn't been tested by Which? and failed their testing yet).

It isn't necessary to spend a fortune to get a safe seat for your little ones, but I'd defininitely be querying why such a brilliant, safe seat was being cleared for £5.

Lots of people seem to be under the impression that it's ISOfix so is therefore a safe seat - ISOfix seats are no safer than belt fixed seats unless you can't spend 5 minutes reading a manual and ensuring the belt is routed correctly.

This is a Pampero car seat, exclusive to Halfords and all Pampero retail around the £80 mark. Great quality and affordable. My kid sits in one of these in my car, and I love my kid. ;-)

wow, really???

I bought a Stage 1 Pampero and Stage 2-3 Graco for £10 each from Barry Halfords a few days ago. The reason they are so cheap is because they are last year/season stock. The Graco one had a football pattern from the World Cup promotion for example.
At the time they had 2 more Graco 2-3's and one Pampero 1-2-3.

Found thanks to your post so thank you very much!!!
