yeah top quality film !

I didnt think it was that good. I really wanted to see it when it first came out but when i did it was a let down. imo of course. Some people love it.

Was an awesome film! I watched it on HD-DVD.

the film was good but totally different to the book (which, IMHO, was better)

Link leads to the DVD at £5.99, not £4.99

Never read the book but it was definately 2006 film of the year.

First you need to use the McDonald's link above - then you need a £1 discount code from here:

www13.cd-wow.com/pro…Y=8

and enter your email address - a code will be sent to your email and then enter it at the checkout

Great find thanks, BUT ...

Why the payment page is not encrypted?!!!!

Really good movie - and at that price a real bargain!

This is one of the best films I've seen in years. Unfortunately I saw it at the cinema though and already have it on DVD.

Obviously theres no guarantee you'll like it - but its worth a go at this price. I think its absolutely fantastic. Awesome

Someone posted on AVforums about Paynova (payment thing CDWow are using) charged on extra £3 on his CC statement. Just a word of warning...

Amazing film, a must-see. Instantly went into my Top 10 films of all time after watching it.

Buy!

I think you'll find that the payment page which loads within the cdwow site page is encrypted, as this is a page within a page, the padlock of https doesn't show in your browser

There's no indication that the page is using invisible frames, and both the verification links on the side of the page are dead. I've bought from cd-wow before, but that was some years ago when they used a different payment system with a secure link. I don't trust an unencrypted connection, even for 4 quid.

I also thought that this was a great movie. I really enjoyed it, and I have to say.....it made me cry!! (Because it was sad, not because it was a terrible movie!!lol)
Ive gone for it....thanks op.

If you right-click within the payment cell and look at the properties for that page you'll see that it has a certificate (TLS 1.0, RC4 with 128 bit encryption (High); RSA with 1024 bit exchange) and that it's url is ]https//pa…com

I know this isn't as clear as it could be, but I myself always ensure that I'm happy about security before carrying out a transaction and I'm happy enough to go forward with this information should there be any issue - I don't know why they no longer use WorldPay as I've never heard of PayNova prior to this

Hope this is some help

An incredibly grim and depressing film i thought
yet i still quite liked it:oops:

Ive bought quite a few things from cdwow in the last month or so, and not had any problems at all, Ive also used paynova....not had any problems there either.
Quite a few sites use paynova now, and ive been using it for a while......just thought Id add that to help put any worried minds at rest!!

Good find dan - excelelnt film - i bought this 1 month ago for £5.99 and I thought ID got a bargain

Though must mark as expired as the price is £5.99 on the site which only brings it down to £4.99 have changed in Original Post

But the OP based it on being £5.99, then using a discount link AND a voucher code to make it £3.99, so the offer still stands and it shouldn't really be expired.

Absolutely right, I figured it out myself later thanks.

I have had similar problem with another site and the answer was the same. The reason is they do not encrypt all the items on their page because of the cost (not sure about the detail but that was what I have been told by their cust. service).

still available at this great price

When going through to the payment page, the page isn't secure, (or I think it isn't, unless anyone knows any different) why is this?:whistling:

the whole page isnt, the frame for payment details is....

Anyone with an appreciation/knowledge of film making *needs* to see Children of Men for one of the most impressive one take scenes (about 6 minutes long) that I've ever seen. Jaw-dropping stuff. The actual story is a doozy too!

Without wishing to sound argumentetive in anyway, just wanted to point out that the film-makers have shown how they made a couple of those 'one take' scenes (the in-car ambush and the immigrant camp riot) and they aren't actually one-take, just very, very, very cleverly stitched together. Shows how well they were done that watching you would never know. Thought the subtle 'sci-fi' elements (electronic banners on side of buses etc.) were pretty good too. Good film!

Yep!

However, the commonly reported statement that the action scenes are continuous shots][56] is not entirely true. Visual effects supervisor Frazer Churchill has indicated that the battle sequence was filmed in five separate takes over two locations and then seamlessly stitched together to give the illusion of a single take. Similarly, the car sequence was filmed in six separate takes over three locations and then stitched together, along with various other CG elements including a CG roof.][57] In an interview with Variety, Cuarón acknowledged this nature of the "single-shot" action sequences: "Maybe I'm spilling a big secret, but sometimes it's more than what it looks like. The important thing is how you blend everything and how you keep the perception of a fluid choreography through all of these different pieces."][9]

Hey

You don't sound argumentative at all, so no worries!

Yeah, apart from the blood fading off the lens at one point, the effect IS pretty much seemless and I will stand by my opinion its pretty jaw dropping *nod*

This is marked as expired, but is still available... unexpiring!

DO NOT BUY THIS ONE OF WORST FILMS I HAVE EVER SEEN!! IN TOP 5 worst ever!! :viking:

LOL ^^^ and I say it's one of my faves
