The book's plot involves a planet inhabited by evolved spiders uplifted by human scientists, and their later discovery by the last humans alive in the universe.

The work plays off the contrast between the societal development of the spiders and the barbaric descent of the starship crew of the last humans.

agree worth 99p
Superb book really enjoyed it. Heat.
Super heat added! 😊
Great concept and really well written
Not really into sci-fi, but I thought this was brilliant.
Use your £1 digital credits to buy this, and any others you might want.

All digital credits awarded through last year, before mid-December, run out at the end of this month. From Mid-December onwards, they currently expire end of April.
Check your ballance here, amazon.co.uk/gp/…-21 and if you have any, use them before you lose them!
The link does not tell you when they expire, so if you have lost the email confirmation, you need to call Amazon CS to find this out.
very weak ending imo, otherwise a decent read
Plot sounds vaguely reminiscent of A Deepness in the Sky by Vernor Vinge(which was really good, too).
