We're currently having the hottest run of weather since 2006.
I work nights so am currently having to TRY and sleep during the day.
A fan doesn't do much when trying to sleep so was searching online and saw an advert for the chillow.
I remember my mum had 1 years ago and it was pretty good.
You just simply add water to it and it stays cool.
You don't have to but you can put it in the fridge to make it "extra cool".
They also do a chillow plus, which is 2 sided and supposed to be slightly better and i have ordered 1 of those as my mum is disabled and is suffering in this heat.
I got that from ebay which was cheaper than their own website.
My air con has stopped working in my car so i'm going to be using this in there for the journey to and from work too.
Hopefully this will help some.

Here's a video from the chillow website.

You don't have to put them in the fridge. It's only if you want it "extra cool"

yeah, but I would want to put it in, just to see everyone open the fridge & be like WTF??

By the time I've ordered one and it arrives it will be fudging freezing again... And then I will blame myself for causing the bad weather as it will be my fault for buying this poxy pillow. Best leave it I think!

hot dealX)

have you ever heard about air conditioner? Check gumtree and get one for 30ish and dont look stupid'ish.
Dont be ir'ish... But if you are Try some ice cubes in your bed... Or mint toothpaste on your skin...

Anyone know if these actually work?

or fill a hot water bottle with cold water??

Yes these work.
The difference with these than other "good ideas" is they STAY cool.
Ice cubes melt, cold water in a hot water bottle would go warm.

The "chillow plus" is supposed to be better as it's double sided.

Cold initially but after a while, they get warm due your body heat.

Also mine split due the plastic top splitting and the water came out.

Hello fellow night worker, I hear your problems loud and clear!
Do these things actually work though, most things on wowcher seem cheap naff products that will break.
Be interested if anyone has a link to a quality version of the same product.

I have a plug frog full of some kinda beads/grains that you can put in fridge or heat up so does for both weathers.. if only I could find him

Hey Pincessrisi, i would say they work ok.
When it was just sooo hot and i couldn't sleep, it helped me.
They are not ice cold but nice and cool.
Obviously your body heat does warm them up in the end but mine lasts a while, especially if i put it in the fridge for a while.
I opted for the "cillow plus" and actually got mine through ebay as they are supposed to be made better and are double sided unlike the "chillow".
Also i got a free chillow eye mask with mine
