I was in M&S yesterday and they had the chinese meal reduced to £6.99 from £9.99, but no mention of wine - are you sure the wine is included? It's not mentioned in the link.

as far as i know yes and the offer it suppose to be £9.99 with selected bottle of wine

Maybe because it's Chinese New Year!

It says free bottle of wine (and a list of which ones they are) on the website. Heat and rep added- off to M&S maybe tomorrow!

Cheep as er... fried rice

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. The Year of the Ox starts on 26th January and continues for 15 days when the moon is at its brightest.

Celebrate Chinese New Year with us and receive free bottle of wine when you buy a Chinese meal box set for two*

• Cobborrah Red and Chardonnay

Oriental meals are also on a 3 for 2 …enjoy!

If the food is anything like as good as their regular meal deals this is well worth going for. I love most M&S food but they do take the (St) Michael with some of their regular prices.

I was in M&S yesterday and the meal deal was reduced from £9.99 to £6.99 including a bottle of wine - either red or white (no rose). Worked out really well as I bought 2 of the meals as well as some other bits and pieces and the total came to over £25 so I was able to use the January saver coupon (spend £25 or more on food, plants and flowers and save £5). Great deal as the meals are delicious. Yummy!!!

The boxes in the promotion include:- beef in black bean sauce, battered chicken with sweet & sour sauce, egg friend rice and sticky spare ribs. Delicious!! My hubby and I had a box each!! Still worked out cheap meal!
Enjoy!! Bon Appetit.

no veggie option ?:?

Yeah, they have the option to eat elsewhere. M&S wine isn't veggie any way.

Wow! So 3 meal deals including wine for £13.98, sounds hot to me.

Sounds good! Any idea how long the offer will last? Chinese New Year involves a 15-day celebration, so is the offer on throughout? I couldn't find anything exact on the site.

The meal boxes for 2 that i remember had beef in black bean, sweet and sour chicken, spare ribs, spring rolls, egg fried rice, singapore noodles and some pork dish.

Hope this helps!
It is my understanding (according to the assistant in my local M&S yesterday) that the £6.99 inc bottle of wine offer is different to the 3 for 2 promo. In other words you get either the wine & meal for £6.99 each OR 3 meals only for £13.98.:whistling:

We had an M&S chinese meal for 2 last night which was £10.99 inc free bottle of wine. Not sure where the £9.99 came from. Maybe it is a different box. Ours had beef & black bean, sweet and sour chicken, 4 spring rolls, 4 sticky ribs and egg rice.

We had the box last night and was £9.99 including the bottle of wine (which according to the store manager was worth a fiver) have to say wine (shiraz) was delish as was food.

fab deal x might have to detour to M&S tomorrow x

Do they have the orange juice option for these of us that don't drink/have enough wine at home?

Oops!!! I forgot to say about the spring rolls being part ot the meal!! Not sure how yours was £10.99 though as ours had everything as above in it - unless it was a bigger box? ? Ones I got were 1.34kg and a reddish colour. Chinese favourites to share it said on front of box.
I just checked my receipt and they were definitely only £6.99 and wine was free.

If that's the case I wonder if he has a brother working in one of their competitors who has even worse symptoms!

No, of course they don't.

thats a shame

they always do with the dine in for a tenner deal

恭喜發財 Kung Hei Fat Choy to everybody!

Sounds good, I might go and check it out tomorrow but the higher price may be for branches with higher rent, such as London stores.

Anyway, £6.99 sounds like a great bargain, so I'll definitely be up for that. ;-)

Apparently his nephew is an idiot too. But at least he still has a job (for now).

Tell you what, you send me the wine and I'll send you an orange juice - OK?

What is "enough" wine? - please explain.

the tills sould be updated with the new price

My girlfriend went in to get one today but they were marked up at £9.99 (were £10.99 last Thursday). She asked 3 different staff and they all said it was £9.99.

I'll get her to go in with the printout next time. Anyone know how long the offer is on for? I know The Year of the Ox is 15 nights according to the ad but what about the offer?
