I bought this the other day, not bad. Still prefer the old 4 parts salt to 1 part each of garlic powder and pepper though. You could always just add some paprika to that too....

If anyone has a Pepe's piri piri chicken shop near them (restaurant chain) they sell their famous chip salt and it's amazing, easily the best seasoning I've ever tasted, miles ahead of anyone else, I even put it in mashed potatoes!. It's a bit pricey but worth it!.

I've not tried the sauces on sale, but we go through the salt a lot!.
The sauce you get with the fries isn't on sale, if it was.. my lot would be munching through that as well!

I agree.. but like all subjective things... only you can decide if it's worth it for you.
I don't like paying that much for it, but until something else comes along.. I will have to put up or shut up.

I've tried experimenting with making my own seasonings, but I don't even come close, it's still good, but not the same.

Stick some chips in the oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh garlic, onion and chilli, salt and black pepper and 5 spice. Add oil if needed especially if fresh cut spuds. Also do the same with sprouts instead of chips.

I do something similar and sometimes add southern fried chicken mix and makes my wedges Southern fried and delicious!

These are usually salt, paprika powder, garlic powder and importantly MSG. Variants include adding onion powder, citric acid, chilli powder, smoked paprika, sugar and white/black pepper.
With with the various combos can make everything from BBQ flavour , piri Piri, Thai sweet chilli, and chilli lemon style seasonings.
