The base game can be had very cheaply on Steam but I've never looked at the cost of the DLC packs....I'm giving this heat regardless - it's a cracking game to dip into after a stressful day, you'll laugh, cheer and rage in a single session. easy to pick up but satisfyingly hard to master it's one of the best game purchases I ever made.

Ah....Xbox version, sorry...wasn't paying attention - I've no idea what this game is like on a console so feel free to ignore all my above praise for the game

Ive edited the post to reflect platform

Anyone know if this has a decent community on Xbox?

looks interesting. i bought payday 2 yesterday in a rash moment on xbo live, didnt enjoy it one bit so a waste of gbp8.00. think the store shoudl give you a 15min chance to play it without paying certainly put me off buying something just like that again. having only just got a xbox one for the kids im still getting to grips with it.

The onus is really on you, there's plenty of reviews out there.

YouTube and twitch are the go to platforms if you're unsure of a game.

I used to enjoy this a fair bit on the PC. Think 12.50 is still a bit much. Would have picked up at £6

To be fair. Reviews, etc only give the reviewer's opinion on a game. That is no guarantee you'll share that view.

Have you never enjoyed something tgat was favourably reviewed that you personally didn't like or visa versa?

I think having a period of play where you can ask for a refund is a great idea as it covers several possibilities. I mean, I bought Darkstallkers II with all the DLC for the Xbox One as it was on sale and i had the vanilla version on the 360. Great game... on the 360. What I didn't know is the game has an horrendous frame rate on the Xbox One and its unplayable.

Wish I could've got my money back.

Voted cold. Seriously guys, save your money, this is a subpar port by Activision.

Performance leaves a lot to be desired, player count is lower, and the community is pretty stagnant by this point.

From someone who's had literally hundreds of hours of fun with the game on PC, I was beyond disappointed with the Xbox One version.
