Chivas Regal Blended Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old 70cl was £27.00 now £20.00

This rich, smooth whisky balances style with substance and tradition. An artful blend of single malts & delicate grain whiskies, matured for at least 12 years. This blend won a Gold Medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2015.

Each whisky in the Chivas Regal range is unique. The founding fathers of the distillery pioneered the art of blending whisky and their traditions have passed down through generations of Master Blenders to preserve the distinct character and quality of every Chivas drop.

Award-winning blended whisky (gift box)
ABV (%) 40

Tasting Notes

Colour: Radiant, warm amber. Nose: An aromatic infusion of wild herbs, heather, honey and orchard fruits. Taste: Rich and fruity, Chivas bursts with the smooth taste of ripe, honeyed apples, and notes of vanilla, hazelnut and butterscotch. Finish: Enjoy the generous, lingering finish.

Penderyn?
IMO i'd save your money and buy teacher's or bell's. Blended whiskey with malt prices. You should study how Chivas board of directors saved the company from going under - very instructive.

Personally I'll go off the taste, Chivas is far superior to Teachers and Bells which is pish in comparison.

As I say, try and find the history of Chivas, it's basically the same just more expensive. £££ = Quality. Not always.

But then choice is choice.

As I said I go off the taste, Bells is nasty wheras Chivas is nice. So not really 'the same'

Of course taste is the only quality I am looking in blended whisky. I have tried Bells and Teachers once and woke up with huge headache next day. Chivas is a good quality party-whisky.

Pay the same and get a malt! Really impress the party! :-)
It's often at this price which is about it worth. Nicer than mixer specials like Bells for sure. That said Famous Grouse Smokey Black is £13 a bottle in Morrisons at the same time. While I'm not saying this is a fine single malt at £13 it's a bargain for what is a pretty alright blend at the end of the day if your looking for a bargain

Famous Grouse is not a single malt, sorry.

Is it not? I though the word blended all over the label of it and Chivas meant single malt ,
