Check contractcars.com I usually use them as the benchmark on how good prices are, they're usually pretty good on their offers. I've just ordered this deal however, but it wasn't much cheaper than on said website.

The tech pack isn't a must if you have to pay the option price for it. …The tech pack isn't a must if you have to pay the option price for it. Very dear for what it has (I have an S5 with VC which basically means it has tech pack) and the VC is the only bit worth paying extra for IMO but not the crazy amount the tech pack goes for. The reversing camera is bloomin dear at £450 when the car already comes with sensors.

There's more to the Tech Pack than that, but it is definitely the key feature and really feels like a big cabin upgrade. If you get the VC alone it's like £400-£500 which isn't as bad. But if you shell out £1400 for the tech pack, then it is dear. On the lease, you pretty much pay £10 p/month more for it, which is justifiable IMO, especially on this deal which is closer to an S Line price without the tech pack. I think I'll likely order this today tbh. Also, huge car envy

The more robust six-speed and seven-speed wet clutch DSGs/s-tronics fitted to engines over 1.8 litres are generally fine, however there was and continues to be a problem with the seven-speed dry clutch DSGs/s-tronics fitted to 1.2s, 1.4s and 1.6 diesels. Added to the 2012 recall/synthetic/mineral debacle where some VAG dealers took the view that the dry clutch 7-speed DSG needed an oil change every 40,000 miles, but the official VAG line was that they didn't, suggests otherwise.

The 7 speed Stronic fitted to the B8 S4 was unreliable, as I have already said mine had an issue, and there are plenty of others online that have (including Chris Harris when he had one)

And what demands is Merkel making to Britain exactly?

On the Internet, always more complaints than praises are posted.I love S-Tronic, and my fourth Audi (to be purchased in a couple of months) will also have S-tronic.I haven't had any real issues either or breakdowns with any of my cars. Current one has 45,000 miles and is almost 4 years old.
