What's the cost price on these? If they can change prices so radically …What's the cost price on these? If they can change prices so radically there must be a huge margin on these...

Probably not enough to give much profit at £3.50 by the time the government have taken their 58p. It is just a cheap product to stack by the door and make people think everything else is cheap too. Supermarkets employ human psychologists for a reason, everything is set up to make you think you are getting good value for money.

Personally I only go to Tesco to buy these "offers" and then go to Aldi for the rest where at least there is only one choice, you know it will be decent quality, and you don't have to compare the price per kg on dozens of essentially identical products.

I used to work for Sainsbury's and they make no secret that by doing an "offer" on one product it will entice you to buy other products with a much higher margin. It's important to be aware or else they will suck you in.

It's Tesco's. If it was legal they would charge you the oxygen you breathe while you were in their premises.

Not usually cheaper than 2 for £7 no!!!
Brilliant, I was hoping this would come back on as I ate the ones from the September deal I must hide these ones
Last year after Halloween Tesco had so many left over they reduced it to £2 if memory serves me right. So looks like they have anticipated this have already announced a reduction.

I'd rather have a few bars of Ritter sport from Waitrose for 75p a bar, coconut one is rather nice as is the rum raisin.
Of course, why not this week 😁 is 20% off for staff

Won't make people as tubby as previous years. Due to the gradual reduction of contents over the years.
I hate how they pad the Heroes out with mini Eclairs.
So how much has the weight dropped by this year?

They’re sold as a loss leader... and once you’re in the shop you’ll buy some other stuff
Agreed with the above. To add it appears that there are more offers of things that are not good for you with some items never on offer. When I walk into a large supermarket first thing I notice is sweets, chocolates, fizzy drinks or crisps that are on offer. Then it’s constant bombardment of these products. My local Tesco will have these tins in at least 10 different places in case I missed picking them.
