my ass but good deal if true so im not voting

I guess somebody has too.... just like Bacteria have a role in breaking down flesh!

shops get charged to dispose items so they'd rather sell them for a penny so they don't pay to dispose

why would you want them?

im still curious why u purchased one at 1-£2

We still have advent calenders from last year when they were 5p. Freeze them for a year or two, it'll be fine. :whistling:

Id love to get a couple, but i doubt i'd be lucky. It's my toddlers 2nd birthday in a couple of weeks and these are fun to put out, they love different shapes, better and cheaper than chocolate buttons.

What?

It's amazing what you can keep frozen and how long for. :-D

(My friends have taken to checking the expiry date on my food now though.) :whistling:

It must be the size of a block of flats with 359 windows to open.

No wonder hehe =]

Makes an ideal gift for the wife for valentines day.

Tragic post.

If you find any calenders in Tesco they will be 1p now! Thats 25 chocs for a penny:thumbsup:

alright deal if you want to spend a week to get a decent amount of crumby chocolate.

Reminds me of when a child was almost taken into care at my daughter's pre-school last year because the child kept coming to school with most of their pack lunch Out Of Date and got reported.
The parent had to show Social Workers the hordes of Out Of Date food stored in the freezer! A bulletin issued now states all parents must put stickers on any frozen food stating it is ok to eat.
ps the child is sick at school quite often...

Some of the ones we had in december were dated 2010 anyway so would be okay. 1p for a whole load of chocolate sounds good to me!!!!!

Long dated chocolate normally means cheap nasty chocolate:w00t:

It's ok. Adults only in this house.

Was it wrong of me to laugh about the school story? :-D

Yes they were only 1p, but we did not have very many so you did well to get some lol

Are these like Cadburys etc. or disgusting Kinnerton?

thanks

Pick 1p up in the Tesco park, and then go into the store...

This is true I got some about the third week in dec, they we priced at 49p when I checked my receipt they ahd scanned at 1p. Not cadbury's though.

Normally the date on choccy last for a couple of years doesn't it? I reckon they just put a short date on them on purpose so people don't grab them in the sale & save them for next year.

sad and very very cold.

I bought one from my local tescos in Manchester, but all the windows where boarded up....

(Bad joke, sorry)

what a load of cack!

They did have some at my local (norwich), but I guess they would all be gone by now

Also the best before date is end of october, i am sure you "could" keep them til next year, although temptation would get the better of me

Don't almost all advent calenders have those horrible "chocolate flavoured" sweets in though, not actual chocolate??

What a flaming load of [insert profanity] that come on here... seriously lighten the hell up.

It's common for them to be sold at 1p after Christmas.

It's 1p... I'd buy them if I could be bothered to go Tesco's.

If you have a problem with people buying 1p advent calenders... or freezing advent calenders, which I think is perfectly fine if you have the room in the freezer (they keep for like a year anyway..) there is no reason for you to share your pathetic little view is there lol.

Ironic post considering the tone :whistling:
