Bought one of these this morning in Home Bargains for our Christmas Eve box, going to put new pjs, Christmas books and DVDs in for the children on Christmas Eve. It is very sturdy, could be used as a gift box or for storing Christmas decorations in

Its a cardboard box for how much? Cold
what is christmas eve box??
We had a discussion at work the other day and it's surprising how many people had never heard of new pjs for Christmas.
It's nice but the price is to high for me if it was £3.99 that would be better.

£6.99 - for a box! I thought this site was about saving money and not wasting it!
These are £16 from next!! So as a box goes it's cheap!

me & my hubby had a big row a few years ago when he refused to buy new pjs for Christmas I was fuming at him. I told him our family had always had new jammies for Christmas he said it was something his family had never done or heard of. I told him either new pjs or go back to your mums for Christmas! safe to say he looked gorgeous in his elf pyjamas
yeah, I've never heard of this new pj's for Christmas thing. think the Christmas eve box is a nice idea bit £6.99 for a bit of cardboard isn't really hot in my opinion!
Some people are so organised- buying a Christmas eve box is far to organised for me though!
I saw these today, they are beautiful when you see them in person; they are considerably thicker than cardboard and have studded poppers on the edges to hold the sides in place (can therefore be packed away and used again)

I thought most people done this with their children.

Bath and New pj's Christmas Eve. All the children in my family do this every year until they get too old.
Good price if they last a few years to be packed away with the Christmas decorations.
You fill it with new pj's, christmas book, christmas movie, hot chocolate and kids bubble bath.
The idea is to get the kids washed and in nice pj's for Christmas morning photos and relaxed and excited curled up with their santa movie with a hot chocolate before bed and santa themed story.

We did all this as a kid but it never came with a box lol
Bought one for Boxing Day
Christmas Eve box with "do
Not open until 25th December" stamped on it
Like someone else said these are actually a really sturdy box, fairly decent size aswell, could probably use to store a few decs away after Christmas
Brilliant! Thanks. Just what I've been looking for and a great price to be used for storage of Christmas decs after use each year. Brilliant price.

Wow you argue over something so trivial!

Buy them yourself if it's such s big deal , or maybe don't buy them and give the money to a good charity instead .
Back in my day it was a small stocking filled with a couple of satsumas, penny sweets and stationary! What's all this "Box" business?!

(Also never heard of this new PJs thing??!)
These are really nice boxes to be fair. I got one for each of my two little ones as I thought it would be lovely for them to open their present crate xx
I had a look at this box yesterday and it is really thick hard cardboard. The sides have heavy duty press studs. Could be used for more than Christmas decs. Good box for kids toys or storage of anything.

Getting one for Grandson's bedroom

No, it's extortionate being brought down to overpriced.
i'm 42 and still get new pj's every christmas, (have done since i was little) and my teenage children still look forward to getting new pj's and bedding .. christmas eve is our favourite family day ... .3.30 pm the santa clause movie, then shower, new pj's, take-out ( cos u dont cook on christmas eve .. lol ) , relaxing watching movies and having goodies and drinks ... oohhh.... cant wait ...
Yep we do it pyjamas, Xmas book and did. I say we the missus does it!
Every day's a school day not heard of any if this pj malaky. I've seen these in Hb over the past month and thought them a little strange, now I know what they're for, beautiful is not how I'd describe them
I'd rather spend £6.99 on something nice for the family, but each to their own..
Just like Christmas is nowadays...totally artificial.

I agree, can't believe someone would have got all serious and pompous over what was clearly a light hearted post.
Doesn't anyone do Christmas Eve boxes anymore ?

Where the elf leaves it full of new PJ's, hot chocolate, reindeer food & a Chrismas Eve DVD ?

I seen these myself, but they looked a bit crap to be honest, so not voted either way.

And yet you can't see when someone is winding someone else up!
Go around the back of Home bargains and get a wooden pallet and make your own, great fun for christmas eve eve with the kids.

Christmas Eve is the 24th ..... oO
I had never heard of this Christmas eve box before. I'm guessing it's a very recent thing. Totally contrived and just yet another expense.
I must have grown up on the wrong side of the tracks, never heard of new pjs for christmas.

Seems like a bit of a rip-off for a fancy cardboard box...
Some right old Scrooge's on here. If people want new jarmies and it makes them happy then why not. I started a Christmas eve box for my little girl last year. She loved it. This year we're starting elf on the shelf. Anything to add a bit of magic. They're not young for long!

Yep. I think the idea is you fill it up on Christmas Eve and open it on 25th.

Not a concept I'm familiar with until the shops decided there was money to be made, so I could be wrong.
