The more recent reviews and answers seem to say these are no longer mains operated but powered by batteries?

These are MAINS operated. I bought a set 2 days ago (but paid £4.99!) I also got one last year and they were mains too.

Thanks for the find heat added and reserved!

I got these last night and are battery powered x

Coming to a housing association mixed estate near you !

Morrisons do a fantastic set of mains powered warm white lights on a 10m cable for £5 standard price.

Just to let you know the item number is the same for both battery and mains star lights.
I reserved online and when i collected my order , i was given battery operated ones. I asked the guy to check if it came with mains ( as reviews say people were also given mains or battery ) . He checked his stock , and came back with mains , same line number just different box , so worth checking if you want a specific one

Great, thanks.

thank you, ordered 2

He says living in Norwich

Thanks ordered 2 as well

ordered and they are delivering for free

Funny how people are referring to these lights as 'chavtastic' and mentioning 'council estates'.. they're goddamn Christmas lights, not Sergio Tacchini tracksuits! X)

I voted hot before I picked them up. I am very disappointed and don't think they are worth £3.99. They are battery powered and very cheap looking sadly.

I ordered two and got one battery and one mains. I asked them to get me two the same. battery ones are in very small rectangular box and mains are in larger squarer box if that helps. all same catalogue number and in store advertised as 4.99

also they are slightly different so if you want a pair for Windows close together don't get one mains and one battery as they'll look odd IMO

just bought some, they are rubbish, dont even flash and are battery operated, the picture shows larger stars in the middle which is a lie.. back to the shop for me! feel like pound land lights

They are not bad for £3.99 and take 2 x AA batteries.

I'm taking mine back too. I wouldn't say they're warm white. I'd be disappointed if I'd paid £10 that's for sure

Agreed, battery ones are not worth a pound

Hi just picked mine up and defo batteries xx
