This keeps on getting voted cold and noone's saying why! I thought 10p a metre for something that gets thrown away in seconds was a pretty good deal *shrugs*

I bought some and thought it was fine for its purpose! I voted hot!!

Asda's 7p per metre and Tesco's 7.5p per metre. For the case of 3p, if you don't live near either, this is good.

Shame I see their Simpsons xmas paper and get tempted....

I bought some from Poundland yesterday. It was exactly the same as the premium range in Tesco (although mines only 3M)!! so i got £9 worth of wrapping paper, for £3! voted hot!

cold because the stuff is horrendous, rips in all corners, rips everywhere, very thin and even a little pull at the paper rips the stuff, i wasted more paper than anything with this stuff
forget it, but a bit more expensive and save a LOT of time

I've bought paper from poundland/99p stores before and a lot of the time it is like the premium stuff from card shops etc, the multi packs that include bows is good. More often than not though I wait for my local Asda or Tesco to reduce all their gift wrap after christmas and buy it cheap, last year I bought 10m rolls for 25p and extra wide wrap for the same price. Hot from me for something that will last two seconds and end up in the recycle bin!

wilkinsons has it for the same price if not near a poundland. 2 x 5mt for £1, about 5/6 designs to choose from. mho cant see the point in buying expensive stuff as it only gets ripped off and binned

We get a special collection as it can't go in the normal recycle bag because of the sticky tape. (your local council rules & regs may however be different)

Great price, no way I'm spending much on wrapping paper. It gets thrown away !!!

Last year I got Poundland wrapping paper and it was so thin you could see through (very good for surprise presents isn't it?). Can anyone confirm if it's the same thin stuff because if it is it's quite useless, you need to wrap it twice around to avoid to spoil the surprise.

I do, and they pulp down the paper anyway and I always remove the bows and sellotape, read this article:

dailymail.co.uk/new…tml

as long as it's not metallic or plasticky it can be recycled.
