Love em, but must resist!

What utter rubbish these watches are.

The website is simply their to make qvc-type shopping channels seem cheap.

I would not be seen dead with one of these. It would be like wearing a badge telling others that you are a sucker.
Also

It's pretty daft to even put this rubbish in the same sentence as role and omega.

I think you should read again, it isnt being compared with a Rolex etc, it says not a big brand.

Christopher Ward are a well respected brand, I personally would buy a quartz watch for £250 but the automatics are great.

Well respected by whom? Bid up TV?

What planet are you from?

Maybe you should take a couple of moments and read some reviews on christopher ward before spouting such drivel they are a well known and respected British watch maker!

But they don't make nothing! The watches are made in China.

Wow - thanks for the heads up. Someone should report them for false advertising as they clearly claim "Our watches are all made in Switzerland". Could you let us know where you got your information from?

Or - possibly you mistaken?

This junk is worth pennies and you cant give second hand ones away. Look at eBay.

nah, you were wrong. It's a shopping channel watch, generic movement, with a daft "chr.Ward" logo, and no brand history whatsoever.

Get a citizen if this is your budget.

Have a look around the web - they are nice and almost universally recognised to be good value for money. I own several watches, including Omegas and Hamiltons and can confidently say that the Christopher Ward I own is every bit as high quality as my others.

I'm uncertain what bankerscum has against them. They don't claim to be Rolex - just nice looking, well made (in Switzerland) watches. They also offer a very comprehensive returns policy. Their resale value is great - check online auction sites for yourself.

If "they don't make nothing", then they must make something - unless you're just illiterate of course

If you do a little research, you'll find that they use a variety of watch movements, including Japanese and Swiss in both quartz & automatic variants (including a number that meet COSC standards, so hardly 'rubbish' as you claim) - they've also recently started making their own in-house movements, which sort of disproves your rant....

Great link about a badly maintained and abused watch not having any resale value! Brilliant, You wouldn't happen to be 5wany would you? You both seem to spout the same drivel!

Puts me in mind of the saying " You know the price of everything, and the value of nothing"!

Come on. It's a shady watch, and a shady non-brand.

Bought an automatic CW a while back when they were on offer and I have been extremely pleased with it. I read numerous reviews which commented on the British design combined with the Swiss made movements and can honestly say the build quality is as good as hoped.
I had an issue with the original delivery date but speaking to customer services it was an issue with the movements being delivered from Switzerland for my model, which they could have improved communication about. My comments were duly noted and they were very helpful in making sure my watch was delivered just a few days later. Very good company I'd happily use again and recommend to others - just my opinion but matches the majority of online reviews.

Me too, I've got 2 CW watches along with several 'Big Brand' watches and I think the CW watches are good quality and reasonably priced. Lots of people on this site are quick to offer their 'advice' with very little understanding of the product they're trashing.

They do look nice on ebay

Your speaking complete tosh. Not only are CW great they are all swiss made and they hold their value exceptionally well.

If you want a badge to say sucker go buy a Tag. I have just over 40 watches atm inc 4 CW and they all compare very well for their price point. for the record my collection includes a Nardin, a rolex, a couple of zeniths and 3 omegas. I considered myself relativly well informed on the topic unlike your numpty self.

I thought Tag made good watches ?

very few nowadays. Their carrera range are good but not competitive at their price point. just about everything they make under 3k contains a bogo ETA movement. they sometimes call it calibre something, which equates to a decorated ETA movement. brand power at work

for the record the C60 has a sellita sw200 in the auto which is almost identical to an ETA 2824. all but a marketing jewel. for this money a bargin

The entry level C60 Trident 300 is Quartz but the C60 Trident Pro 600/GMT 600 and COSC 600 are all Automatics

entry is quartz, eta or rhonda in it. personally I would skip it and grab an auto. pros and cons for each. I only got involved because a know nothing know it all was flattening a perfectly sound deal, shame he seems to have succeeded.

You are right they are a decent watch, I think they are now pricing their watches a little too expensive at the full price. I will consider one over the weekend, thanks

Enjoy

I got two "Nearly new" watches in their last private sale - a malvern and a C7 Rapide (the tridents were snapped up pretty quickly) and i can say they are very well built for the money. tthey also seem to retain their value at least according to several ebay sales i have been following.
