How difficult/ easy is it to fix this by yourself. Is it Diy friendly

I fitted the tap myself, then got a plumber in to fix it!

Easy if you have a tap fitting kit which includes set of long reach sockets.
Kids easy if you also have isolating valves already installed.
Just remember to fit the flexy tap connectors before you fix the tap to the sink.

They are very easy to fit in my opinion, and they come with instructions.

Give it 6 months. Bought an equivalent for the kitchen, that's how long mine lasted. They're cheap for a reason.

whats the quality like on these? I was looking for a kitchen tap from them. Compared to similar taps from other high street shops costs about 3 times in price.

Got to agree with cassy34, they are cheap for a reason, I have also made the mistake they are cheap Chinese imported rubbish and will fail within 12 months. Spend a bit more and buy a Grohe, will last a lifetime

Statistically you make a good point but read that feedback and think again.

Aldi have similar taps at similar price from time to time and I can vouch for their quality. Two installed and working fine for the last 4 years. Nicer to use than similar £100 ones I also have from Bathstore.

I recognize this tap, have one from last bathroom fitting. It's good. Almost worth buying as a spare at this price!

I bought one last week, quality good for the price. Look as good as the expensive one.

Question for all you budding plumbers out there. My house is old and the washbasins to the bathroom and the en-suite are fed from the loft cw storage tank and not directly off the mains riser supply. Would this tap work off the pressure from the cw tank in the loft or only from the mains cw supply only?

I can't see why it wouldn't work though in any system if the pressure difference between H and C is very large you may not be able to get a good mix. Even then there may be ways of lowering the pressure in the higher side?

Just my theory - better wait for a real plumber to advise!

Pretty sure this is the same tap we had in our shower room sink. The "chrome" plastic coating on the handle bit bubbled up and started coming off within a few months, replaced handle bit (just screws off) and same thing happened again some months later (sold house now so don't care). Other than that very cheap part of it, it was fine. However i wouldnt rush out to buy another one.....

Sorry it wasn't good but selling the whole house seems a bit drastic! X)
