Chromebooks are very popular.
Stadia is awesome. Have used it for months, those who aren't using it are missing out.

have they sorted out the lag issues yet?

There was never any "lag issues" just issues with people's own internet connections. I've experienced zero lag in all my time. Of course issues here and there but nothing I would say was more then temporary.
I had some problems claiming this with my Lenovo Duet at the UK site so used the US site instead. Use the pulldown menu in the bottom right hand corner of the perks page to change country.

Entirely different subject. But did you have to do that with claiming the Google One trial with a new chromebook? My duet wasn't registering

I'm already a paid member so not entitled to the trial but i'd give the US site a try.
If it is possible to pass these on and someone did not want theirs I would be happy to take it.

Thanks

Changed the country but only seeing a perk for Disney+...
I'm only seeking a perk for 12 months of Google One.

No Stadia for me.

I have an Asus C202X

Same. Shame, that's a decent saving for something I'd definitely be paying for anyway.

I have a 60mbs Internet connection and it plays flawlessly for me at all times.
Don't seem able to redeem this offer on a Chromebook less than a year old.

Looking to get a Duet. Have you had a chance to try stadia on it yet? Interested to know if it's viable.
I have a hp chromebook it’s 16 months old and the only perk I have is the google one 12 month

Hi thanks for posting.
I'm using a pixelbook I bought secondhand 18mths ago and when I selected US as suggested I saw 3mths free Disney+, the Google one 100gb for 12mths free and a 30day subscription for calm free.
No sign of stadia for me (don't know when my device was sold new) but everybody with a Chromebook should definitely have a look.
I tried each English language country option.

Cheers for the link, that worked a treat. Been a stadia pro member since December and think I've only paid the £8.99 three times so far with all the offers.

Heat added
No lag for me either with Google Stadia.
I even use my mobile which I've attached to a rig so I can also use my Dualshock 4 controller.
What is Stadia?
Desperate to hold on to their subscribers!
Stadia is awesome. Have used it for months, those who aren't using it are missing out.
US link worked for me too. Stadia is fantastic. Especially now it works on 4G/5G as well as WiFi. Just keep an eye on your data!
Thanks for posting OP I will try this later. I cancelled my Stadia Pro subscription temporarily, can this be used for those who have been a Pro Member before but have now cancelled?

Both games on it are great! I loved them in 2016 when they came out!

First time on Stadia tonight. Just played an hour of Metro 2033 on my Duet with a Switch Pro controller. Was impressed with no lag and the visuals fantastic. Thought the small screen would be a pain but to be honest it was not an issue. My internet is 70mb+.

Another string to it's bow and another reason for me to throw down on it. Thanks for the feedback!

Pay for the controller, pay a subscription per month and then on top of that pay console game prices for games you won't own. Sounds great.

The first two are optional mate. And the "not owning" a digital copy of a game discussion is worthless, applies to all.
Really hoped stadia would be successful, it's not really taken off the way many including Google would have hoped. It certainly seems to have upset console fanboys though which is weird.

We need more competition

The difference is that I don't expect my Steam library to disappear over night.

Stadia however....
This thing hasn't taken off at all and with Googles track record, what happens to your games when they eventually pull the plug? Not worth the risk imo.

Steam isn't going anywhere while Google has a history of projects they've abandoned. Stadia isn't long for this world.
