It is a good deal for a Chromecast Ultra though? I don't really care how cheap the Roku and Firesticks go if the Chromecast Ultra is the one I want (which it probably is).

I was tempted by the Roku, but I'm still unclear whether it also acts as a Chromecast receiver, and even if it did (as far as I could tell) you still had to use it wirelessly, rather than using an ethernet adapter. No thanks.

I have a Roku stick, an Amazon Firestick and Chromecast (all non 4k versions) already, and the only one I still use is the Chromecast. Now, I just want a Chromecast that'll play H265/HEVC video, so I am very tempted.

Obviously not a good deal
What’s a good price on these, anyone?
Puzzled why this is cold :/

Direct from Google they're £69. Looks like a good price to me, no idea why it's being voted down.

Me too, maybe people don’t realise this is the 4K version, so have updated the title. Perhaps people think it’s the one that’s ~£20 at the moment?

It's a good device if using for stadia game streaming but I doubt many need one and £50+ is pretty high. It's hard to justify paying this when you see Roku and fire TV 4k devices going on offer for £29.99, miles better options for netflix and prime video and also work with BBC iPlayer 4k

It's worth noting that A grade, used Ultras are £55 from CeX so this is a good deal for a new one of these devices. However, points taken re. competition being good value.

I was more alluding to the possibility that there might/should be a further (higher) drop in the price of this considering what Roku and Firestick dropped to, I might be wrong though.

I still use a chromecast for BT Sport myself, it works fine for that, but it seems to buffer on way too many Casts which it never used to. I dont know if there was an update to the chromecast in the past few months that might explain the buffering now..

That's why you can't trust heat on here. This is a good deal
