An oldie but a goodie still?!

PLEASE NOTE MAC ONLY.

Be Riddick, the most ruthless criminal in the universe. In this latest Atari chronicle, Riddick has been captured by The Dark Athena, a mercenary ship hell-bent on eliminating him once and for all. Using his intense hand-to-hand combat skills, explosive firepower, and lethal stealth, Riddick must shut down the maniacal Captain Revas and her deadly crew. When Riddick steps into the darkness, no one is safe.

Before battling the Necromongers on Helion Prime — even before the crash landing of the Hunter-Gratzner on a deserted planet in Pitch Black — Riddick stalked his enemies across the universe. Play the award-winning Escape from Butcher Bay campaign, which has been re-mastered with top of the line graphics specifically for next-gen systems.

The new Assault on Dark Athena campaign takes place immediately following the events on Butcher Bay, as now Riddick must use his well-honed skills to evade capture by the forces of Captain Revas, and put an end to her evil plans once and for all.

With Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena you get two complete games!

Features

Brutal and Graphic Executions: Dozens of graphically gorgeous ways to perform brutal instant executions on unsuspecting enemies

Woah this website is cool, they got all the star war Jedi and knights game for mac
Hell yes! Nice to see a Mac Deal for once! I have a Windows 10 Gaming PC but i mostly use my Macs as my daily computers.
Btw, This works on Intel Macs doesn't it? A lot of old Mac games like Sims use PowerPC which the new Macs don't have.

I’m sorry I don’t know the answer to this, Gamergate are usually pretty good at stipulating what DRM is required and this just says:

May be worth contacting them before making a purchase just in case as the release date was a while ago. I’ve only ever gamed on windows/consoles.

Ah thank you I found out that it is for intel macs. I just wasn't sure how old the game was. 33603446-2q3TT.jpg
This is a great game - and possibly the only time a movie tie-in video game has been better than the movie!

There was an earlier game, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, released on Xbox and PC in 2004, and Assault on Dark Athena started out as a sequel but ended up including a remake of the first game as well, so consider it the complete and definitive edition.

Unfortunately, the PC version has been removed from Steam and GoG for some reason (probably licensing, as it's a movie tie-in). You can still find Steam keys on some key selling sites, but they're kind of pricey now due to their rarity. The GoG version was preferable as it was DRM free - the other versions use Tages, which can cause problems. Lucky for Mac owners you don't need to worry about that, and it's only £1.35!

Yeah, it's not that old - it was released in 2009, although the Mac version came out a year later in 2010, and Macs had started using Intel CPUs in 2006. PowerPC CPUs were the reason Macs didn't used to get many games at all - the transition to Intel led to a lot more games being released on Mac as they didn't need as much work done on the ports.

They're just Steam keys, the same as buying them on the Steam store, because if you get them on Steam you'll have them for PC and Mac. They might be cheaper elsewhere, so shop around, and they've been in Humble Bundles before, so if you can wait they might be again.
This and Doom 3 are the best ones. I missed getting Doom 3 off the App Store for £2 the other month, so happy to see it even cheaper on here. Thanks for this!

I actually saw the Doom 3 one and thought that Buzz’s BFG Edition was the better deal; my brain assuming it would be Mac compatible via Steam - I’ve just checked and it’s not (ridiculous) so good spot!

Why they released it without mac support is beyond me. I’m having troubles playing Riddick on high Sierra though, it crashes before even launching anything. Do you have this issue also

Sorry, I’ve got a Windows computer so I’ve not purchased - only Apple product I own is my phone - I’ve not been roped in to the ecosystem... yet!
Check for a resolution patch/fix. I have this problem on older games with my Retina MacBook.
