This game is more than 5 years old and it becomes free from time to time. But this is a brilliant remake of original classic and fun to play. It is free now at the moment at Google Play and iOS Apple Store
Apple Apps Store : Chuckie Egg 2017 on the App Store (apple.com)
Join Harry on an all-new adventure!
Join Harry, the intrepid explorer, as he searches for and collects hundreds of golden eggs spread across over thirty levels plus some hidden extras.
Your fingers will be tapping as you guide Harry from level to level, grabbing every last egg along the way (and maybe munching some bird seed too!).
But, watch out! Bertha -- the naughty bird and Harry's arch enemy -- is not going to stop until she’s put an end to his egg-hunting antics! Her dopey ostriches wandering each level may be slow, but if Harry gets cornered, it could be Game Over!
Inspired by the 1983 game of the same name, Chuckie Egg 2017 HD is a thoroughly modern take on retro-style platform action, with vibrant art, modern controls, and music that will have you humming away while you play.
It’s going to be an egg-splosive adventure, so get your fast fingers at the ready!
Hatch a plan to beat the game and don’t get too hard boiled or you may end up being scrambled!

48k here, with its rubber buttons
Sunk most of my childhood pocket money into buying cassettes and discs for my CPC 6128 (which I still have) - ahhh..... memories!
Thanks OP
48k here, with its rubber buttons
So did I, great computer
(I was a Commodore 64 player, back in the day)
And when I tell my kids it had a massive 32K of RAM, they just don’t understand
The good old Basic days.
same, i was just about to say, i played this to death on the dragon 64 - it was a fantastic game - at least that's what my memory tells me :-) still have the dragon 64 but not sure if it still works as its not seen the light of day in well over 30 years
CPC 464 and holding my breath for 5 mins whilst the cassette loaded
i had one too but i had the poor man green screen version although i did have the 3inch disk, which was nice at the time!!
My all-time favorite.. ..... Just ahead of Castle Quest
The fact that I ended up with the colour version of the 6128 is probably more by luck than by design. My parents didn't have a clue about computers, truth be told I was no expert either, I think I was 10 or 11 years old at the time, but I knew I definitely wanted one. One weekend my mum suddenly announced she was going to buy me a computer and off we went - I think we ended up in some sort of small independent electronics store - the salesman probably convinced her to buy the most expensive model they had in stock (I think the CPC 6128 was somewhere around £400-500 at the time and we weren't exactly flush with cash as a family). Came with a great user manual too if you really wanted to learn how to program the thing. Unsurprisingly, I became a software developer in my later years
Ironically, I never played Chuckie Egg on my CPC - a good friend of mine had a Toshiba MSX (I think!) and he played it to death on that!
Unfortunately this was never on my Vic 20!
