Found 3rd May 2016
Just seen this flash sale on the 12 inch Chuwi Hi12 dual boot Windows 10/Android tablet from Gearbest.
With the current rate of exchange (using paypal) it came out @ £158.00 including free priority direct mail to the UK
4gb Ram/64Gb SSD & an excellent screen - this tablet gets very good reviews & many say is a great cheaper alternative to the Microsoft Surface Tablets which are great but very expensive.
Note - don't try & add any discount code it will lose the flash sale price.

As far as hukd are concerned they are bonefide. Lots of gearbest deals on here & plenty of positive reviews.
These Chinese brands like Onda and Teclast all offer amazing specs for the money. So if that's what you're after, then you're onto a winner. But, and there's a sizeable one, the real world performance isn't necessarily reflected by the specs. I've read about a lot of issues with really poor wifi connectivity, poor battery life etc. 4gb of RAM isn't of much use if the tablet's flat or you can't hook up to the net without sitting underneath the router (even then I heard of people having their Chuwi Hi10's wifi keep dropping). Then you have to add the cost and inconvenience of returning it to China, not to mention the likelyhood of having one of these turn up DOA.

Each to their own, if you get a good unit then you're laughing at this price!

Yep, just hope and pray nothing EVER goes wrong with it coz aftersales is non existant - let's see what the hukd community think with their voting and how COLD this deal goes! lol
I'll echo what others have said that this is too much of an outside risk considering the cost, there is of course the joint liability option of buying with a credit card and possibly taking up issues with the card provider but that's likely a lot of effort.

I'd buy things under £50 and accept the risk element, because you can't get nearly as great a specification at that budget. But over £150 is well out of my gambling range considering what else you can get for that money at home with some aftersales/warranty support.
Well above the £135 duty threshold so if it's pulled by customs then you'll be looking at additional circa £43 to pay inc fees. Add to effectively zero warranty and it's a real gamble, but great value if the gamble pays off.

If you pay by paypal then they will help sort out these sort of issues & get your money back. sure it might take a while, but they will do it & it doesn't take huge amount of effort on your part.

not really the point. the point is that they don't care about customer service, just sales. after that you're on your own.
