Used them a fair bit over the years and never had any issues, well late delivery a few times. Its a risk but if it comes off then it should be worth it. Its for my son who is at Uni and this has the advantage of not being on the list of top things to get nicked. when and if i finally get it, (come on gearbest), I will let you know how it is, has decent reviews so far.

How come you didn't go for a Jumper Ezbook 3 Pro? A lot cheaper and one of the best apollo lake laptops out there. Although the chuwi in this deal is quite nice looking :).

Been looking at this since it was announced, nice looks, good screen, 8gb.

More memory, twice the storage and the backlit keyboard (mentioned in specs not description for some reason) seem nice, not sure worth the extra over the 3 pro but it's interesting.

Over 300 pounds - gearbest - celeron processor. Cold.

I'm fed up of giving detailed advice on why you should never spend more than -say £10 - on a purchase from a Cinese seller . Their payment of referral fees to HUKD must be OK though . Many bona fide merchants are banned , yet you only have to scroll through a few complaints and moans to see members routinely have problems with non delivery , import duty ,lack of EU warranty , pathetic or non existent customer service etc .

We can all google the cheapest price for anything - but ,frankly it disgusts me that HUKD allow (and indeed promote these sellers ) despite the numerous complaints -Why ? - because these sellers pay HUKDs fees - Sad but true and for a "so called members site" it is unforgiveable . Rant over !

Advice to never spend more than 10 pounds with a Chinese seller is quite stupid, as many will testify to.
HUKD is a commercial website, hosting and staffing cost money, perhaps in your fictional, utopian world these services would be provided for free. The alternative to referral fees would be a subscription based service, I very much doubt that this option would be workable. I understand that greater transparency would be better, but we live in the real world and with a free service we really don't have the right to demand anything, suck it up.

Caveat Emptor is the rule.

There are risks when buying from Chinese sellers, but I would hope that most HUKD users will have checked the experiences of other users, and have sufficient intelligence to make a judgement. The bottom line is that you want the comfort of buying from an established UK business then go for it. However if you wish to take advantage of some of the benefits of buying from Chinese sellers, and are prepared to accept the risks, then that is the individual's own decision.

I would normally be wary of buying high value items for the likes of Gearbest, however there are bargains to be had, and you need to consider the benefits/risks.I recently purchased the Jumper Ezbook 3 Pro, having considered the positive reviews and experiences of other members, and the general internet community. As a result of my decision I have an excellent budget notebook, which has cost under half of the nearest UK equivalent.

Caution is needed, I would not buy a premium phone direct from China as it will probably not get updates. However a laptop doesn't offer the same risk.

So please credit other members with some modicum of intelligence, and crawl back under you bridge.

I did not receive my £3 usb mouse from best gear. They didn't take any responsibility for it and blamed everything on the shipping company and said I would have to take it up with them. Then provided me with a Chinese symbol for me to contact lol. I needed to dispute with paypal. A lot of hassle for only £3 I would never spend £300.
