Polish 20% white vinegar @ £1.80 for a litre. If this doesn't shift it, then Cillet Bang would not stand a chance
Cue the trump jokes !
Agree white vinegar used regularly keeps the limes Scale at bay, add some Fairy Liquid or bicarbonate and BANG sparkling clean

Standard white vinegar is about 5%. Look for the Eastern European stuff. At 20% it will clean a kettle in a couple of minutes. Don't get caught with the 10%. It does the job, but pro rata is not much cheaper.
What can this be used on??

Around the taps, sink, anywhere that you have a limescale build up, but do not use in a food/drink scenario. Eg de-furring the kettle.

That may be true but as I said normal white vinegar used regularly does the job for cleaning. As for descaling kettles that’s a different story - I wouldn’t use cillit bang for that either - use a proper kettle descaler

They had it in my local polish shop.

I should have known better and wear gloves when I used that stuff for the first time

Shame its not the foaming one, that works so much better imo
Here for the Trump comments
Is Cilit Bang a play on words.... or does it have a genuine meaning?
