Tasting note

The Pinot Noir grape produces reds that are naturally paler in colour. Noted for their delicacy and perfume, this is a good authentic example. Naturally pale, this wine is gently fruity, smooth and tasty. Enjoy with lamb kebabs, burgers and sausages.

is that per litre?
Great deal !
Wotwine? doesn't think much of it, but still thinks it worth £5.00 a bottle. Hot from me, as it'll still be drinkable.
Lidl red always gives me a headache. It’s a massive avoid for me now. Pity as they have some good prices.

I agree a lot of them do that to me too...except Montepulciano D'Abruzzo (just had to check the label) at around £4.50 it's our "house" red. Cheers.

Good point - that is per litre so you're 76p worth of wine, not 2p!
Good deal for the price. Agree with others though, Lidl wine gives me a headache too. Must be the sulphites. Esp if we are all getting the same. Don't get it with Aldi wines.
Will go well with the Lidl £10 off £40 spend vouchers in this weekends newspapers!! Generally allows 3 alcoholic items per vouchers. Thanks !!

It's unlikely that the cause is the sulphites: splendidtable.org/sto…hes

Hmm, but after VAT, Lidl will only get £2.39. So (2.99*80%) - (2.98*70%) . Only 30p for the wine, the bottle, the driver and lorry to deliver it, the shop to sell it in and the person to put it through the till.

Same. I suffered the same with the cheap sauvignon a couple of weeks ago. Giving the other bottle away

Yeah, I’m sure headaches from wine are caused by sulphites. Definitely not from drinking too much of it . Anyway, there’s some snobbery here and there really need not be. Some Lidl wines are outstanding, but to be honest I avoid 100% Pinot noir as i prefer fuller bodied reds, so this is a great example of where I’d say no. They do a really good oaked Chardonnay (again, lots of snobbery around this grape) for £3.99 which goes down to £2.99 on these deals, for example.

Come Thursday they won't offer that I'm afraid as that's illegal in Scotland (10 units=£5 minimum price).

You can set your "home" (preferred/nearest) store on the Lidl website to check the available offers.
I prefered being in spain where I could just drink 1 euro a bottle table wine like it was water all day, everyday.

Depends on the wine. There was a nice Bordeaux a couple of weeks ago with no such problem.
