OK before anyone complains this is a local offer.
The deal is simple, the plaza cinema Waterloo (Liverpool) offer all tickets at £2.60 on a Wednesday. So you can go and see any of the new films at a great price. They also do a Saturday deal for families every week were they select one film to run around noon and everyone pays the same price £2.60 each.

Thanks for the heads up Shack , its a fair drive from Wavertree but deffo way cheaper than driving , parking and buying two tickets at Liverpool 1 .

I didn't want to say, but I think my Nan's TV has a higher quality image that this place.

They are currently fund raising for a digital projector.. Says it all to be honest..

This is a community cinema; plazacinema.org.uk/abo…ory ; I have been on many occasions and it is preferable to a multiplex.

I thought you were going to go on to explain why this deal should be posted on this website.

Another local shout out. Rio in Burnham on Crouch is only £3, with freshly made popcorn £1, and drinks 60p. Went to Odeon last night, popcorn was £4.99 and water £2.49 (the bunch of b*******).

I went to this cinema many a time when i was a kid. £2.60 is a cracking price in my opinion. Heat added.

Yeah, people should be commending local cinemas like this even if they are a bit behind the times. At least this project seems pro-active in getting the money for improvements. Thank God for people like these and just hope that you end up at a place like this by choice not necessity, while the big cinemas continue to mug the more money than sense dopes for 3 times the worth value of another dross Hollywood CGI dependent mess and £4.99 for popcorn which only costs 1p to produce. Ignore the puerile, crass comments from the usual Internet goons OP...these little independent cinemas deserve all the exposure they can get. Thanks for posting

Hot

Cheers

They show black and white movies there?

We have a plaza cinema in Dorchester, Dorset. 2.50 weekdays/3.50 weekends (extra 1.50 for 3D).

Better than cineworld!!!

Staggered past this place, drunk, many a time!

It went independent a good few years ago and I thought it wouldn't last long but it's still going now.

Last thing I saw there was Batman, the original, but I'm voting hot for the price alone!

Excellent cinema for those of us who live nearby and it will be a shame if they can't raise the £120,000 they need for the digital equipment they need to have installed: -

Most of the people who work there are local volunteers and it has recently undergone a facelift with all labour and materials provided free from the local community: -

Long live the Plaza!!!
If you think you can help, please email manager@plazacinema.org.uk
Thanks from a local lad ;-)

Thanks for the heads up! My girlfriend lives just down the road from here, so I'll be visiting a fair few Wednesdays!

Why shouldn't it be? There's over 1 million peolple in the Merseyside area who could make use of this deal, plus it gives good exposure to a community project that needs all the publicity it can get. It's a lot more relevant than Freddo's for 5p at Sainsburys Garage Telford and other crap that gets heat on here. Although I watched Jaws here a few months ago and it was a pretty poor effort sound/picture wise, they had film memorabilia set up at the front of the cinema and for £3 it was nice to see it on the big screen.

Thanks OP. Never think to go there, always go the Odeon.

This is a great ci nema, takes ya back in time to when going to the cinema was a reasonably priced night out. We love it, none of the rubbish you get at the larger chains where everything is extortionate, great place to take the kids and partners for a lovely night out. It may not have all the hype of larger cnemas but back to basics is best

facebook.com/pla…67/ The Plaza is absolutely buzzing over the past few years it has had extensive refurbishment works carried out, State of the art digital sound and Vision. Take a look at their website for details. plazacinema.org.uk standard ticket prices £4.90 adult Children £3.90
