As far as I know it is both, a few times at Wandsworth someone has forgotten their student ID and they would not let us use the offer.
Can anyone say does both people need to have student id? Or if I'll book it as a student I can take my girlfriend with me who is not one?

Everytime i have used this at any cineworld, you both have to have I.D. They seem to be very rigid on this point... idk why!

Obviously they don't wanna be scammed.
been on for AGES most probably a year. Both parties have always had to show ID when I've gone
its great, im a student but with the Open University so study alone, not fair i cant take advantage of this offer as i have a valid ID card.
Please note that the student cards require a expiry date or they risk of not being accepted!
Had this experience before when the lady didn't accept the offer because my friend's student card didn't have an expiry date.

I know someone that studied with the OU and they were able to get some sort of student card. Not sure which ones it was.. NUS, UCAS? not sure.
The website states what ID is required:

Students 15 to 17 years old Proof of age may be asked
Students 18+ NUS Card

So does it have to be 2 students?
"£6 on average" ... Try £8.30 for normal 2D screens.

This is a great offer, and has been around forever. It works at the Trocadero cineworld (Shaftesbury Avenue) where its £6.90 for a 2D film.
Oddly enough, whenever I've been going with non-students and not been able to use this offer, I've never been asked for ID, but when I use this offer, I get asked for ID. Why so serious about the ID for the offer, but not normally?

£8.30 for a student ticket.Damn , that's expensive.I thought our local cineworld was expensive, seeing as in some places student tickets are around £4 something.

Ah sorry I was forgetting this was student prices...I paid that for full price adult. Still ridiculous though lol.

Pretty simple
If only 1 of you has the student card, the student would receive the free ticket, the other person would pay full adult price, like anywhere offering 2for 1, basically the cheapest is free & you pay for the expensive ticket

If you show 2 student cards, they should give you the student ticket price (my area is £4.50)
Afterall both of you are entitled to student ticket prices, with this voucher you get 1 free
If not, your getting done over by your cinema
