Cinema food is a rip off but for unlimited card holders it's just got a little cheaper.
We know that our Unlimited Card holders are some of the biggest film fanatics out there so we at Cineworld like to make their movie-going a bit more special.

From Friday 4th September until Thursday October 1st 2009 Unlimited Card holders will be able to get a large drink absolutely free when they buy a large popcorn at a Cineworld Cinemas concession stand. All you need to do is show your valid Unlimited card at the time of purchase.

Good savings still for those who prefer buying their popcorn in the cinema rather than a supermarket Heat added...

unbelievable how much the food and drink costs at cinemas, their mark up profit must be astonishing.

although it is fun to go to the cinema and i dont like being tight all the time, a bottle of volvic and 3xsweets for a pound from asda will do me and maybe a pck of chilli mcoys

bad deal from cineworld they should be shot

and i see also there cineworld unlimited cards have went up in price

good deal

Only posted it to get the word out to any card holder who is going to buy food at the cinema, as I doubt the staff are going to ask if you have a card when you purchase food.

If you live near a Cineworld and you go the cinema 2-3 times a month then the Unlimited Card is a bargain. Fact. Fair enough, the food is expensive and Cineworld do take the worst stance in terms of taking your own food into screens but as mentioned this deal is for people who buy their food at the cinema anyway. Heat added.

What is the Cineworld stance on bringing your own food?

'No external food allowed in auditoriums' They will confiscate any food as you go into the screens basically

this may be a rip off but you did find something that will save some people money so heat added

good deal, thanks mate, we always get the large popcorn drink combo, so this should save us some money

Heat from me

As I only got the Unlimited card when it was 11.99, just so I could use the Orange Wednesday code with it...

So me and the missus go to the cinema every wk for £11.99 per month plus 4 x text cost @ 35p each...:w00t:

May use this in the future.... Saves the missus carrying a massive bag lol:whistling:

Didnt they change the payment to 13.5?
I took it when it was 11.99 too, but they automatically switched me to the 13.5 plan....should I have complained? :O

Hell YES! just complain anyway....whats the worse that could happen?.

Had on of those cards a few years ago as I stayed 100yards from Cineworld, gave it laldy when I was at home.

3 or 4 films a day for a fortnight. Brilliant during the day as the place was empty.
Saw some great flicks, also saw some mingers, but at least I hadn't paid the full admission for them.

Loved the tea and biscuit Classic on a Tuesday I remember:w00t:

I just came in here to see a flame war

TBH, a mate of mine buys food-stuff at the cinema. Not anymore. Right rip-off. How could you mark up so high.

Nice find. I'll be taking advantage of it. Heat added

my cineworld had not heard of this offer ? has anyone been able to use this offer

I took this card out when it was £10.99 and they have up'd it to the new £13.50, CHURCHING0 are you sure you're not paying the new rate?

Also how does the unlimited card work with Orange Wednesdays? I thought you had to buy a full price ticket?

My local says anything is fine as long as it's not hot and smelly (like burgers and fries).
