I'm sure of you live close enough it's ideal, but seriously how many films would you actually see for £75 these days? great deal, heat

yeah but £75 worth of clubcard points... not actually paying anything! Trust me you can see loads.

The vouchers work out normally for £5 for goods so thats nearly £350 equivalant

Original Poster

and what will you spend worth £350??

I use my points on train tickets so doesnt go that far

The unlimited pass is normally £14.99 per month = £179.88 per year. This means your vouchers are being valued at 2.4x face value, which isn't great.

Unless you'd buy one of these with cash anyway, IMO, the vouchers are better spent on the 3x and 4x deals that are of more use.

Realistically, how many films does the average joe pay to go and see anyway? There are only about 4 films per yr worthy of a cinema visit nowadays!

if you buy from groupon / kgb these vouchers have a short expiry date. These have FULL 12 MONTHS!!

Awesome deal. I have around 6 friends who pay the full £14.99 a month for this. Cinema tickets on a normal evening cost £7 each.
If a half decent film a week comes out you still save loads of money.
Don't forget if you have this pass and use orange Wednesday code you get the second free.

These are normally 4x their value. I don't think this is good at all.

Can you just pay the £75 if you dont have enough points?

Great deal!We go with others ever week!

I don't think tesco points are worth 4 x their value - Most places that they say are 4 times, are really only 2 times because you'd never pay full price at those places, they always have offers on and nearly always have vouchers freely available for BOGOF or half price.

This cineworld deal is a great price, heat added

Absolute bargain!! £9.80 adult in Milton Keynes now,.. NOT 3D!!!!

Good but I need my vouchers for the annual RAC Membership renewal

£75 Tesco clubcard points = £300 in pizza express vouchers

I think I would rather £300 worth of pizza than this - It seems expensive.

I think for the average cinema user this is expensive, but if you are in London for example and surrounded by cinemas that dont just show the latest blockbuster, you could very easily get your monies worth. £300 of Pizza can get you fat, but a years supply of cinema can encourage a wide range of emotions and thoughts.

Wish I lived near your cinema, Last time I went with the Mrs two 2D adult tickets cost us £20

Would be great if I had the £75 in clubcard vouchers. Sucks that you can't just pay the rest...

I agree that it's not that great, when you consider a lot of tesco promotions run on triple / quad value you would be better waiting out for a suitable alternative offer.

How much would one need to spend at Tesco's to gain £75 worth of points??

7500 if you did not have any voucher bonus codes etc.

My boyfriend and I used to live within brisk walking distance of the cinema and we got these cards. We went at least twice a week, so the cards were well worth it! As long as you avoid their rip-off snack bar!

However if you have to make effort to get to the cinema/incur other costs like parking then it suddenly isn't so great as you probably won't go often enough to make the most of it.

If we still lived near a cineworld and had £75 of clubcard vouchers we would strongly consider this, so I'm voting hot.

Note that whilst these don't include Cineworld's West End cinemas (Haymarket and Shaftesbury Avenue) they do include all other Cineworlds in London, including the O2 which has a "Sky Superscreen" which is the biggest 3D screen in Europe (that isn't an IMAX, although thanks to the aspect ratios, when watching a feature length film the picture will be just as big).

The thing that peeves me about this is even if you have the unlimited card you have to pay £1.50 extra if you see a 3D film! Hardly unlimited.

I still have 8 free tickets left from from Amazon Andrex deal .(2D only)

It's unlikely I will use them before 30 September so I'll probably give them to my brother.

Considering I'd have to spend like £7000 in tesco to get £75, i think im gonna have to pass.

I had an unlimited card when I was in collage like 4 or 5 years ago back when it was £10 a month. I use to go when I had big gaps since cineworld was close by and ended up seeing 2 or 3 films a week. I went to see Avengers yesterday and that cost £11 just for the ticket

I'd say it'd only be worth getting one if you're nearby since the amount you'd spend on bus/petrol money will limit how often you'd end up going.

My wife & Mum buy the Unlimited card as my Christmas present (3rd year running) and I love it. I love movies and having the card means I'll go and watch things I wouldn't normally go to and I can see the things I like more than once. Some movies have to be seen 2/3 times to make sure you don't miss anything.

I didn't know that you could get the Unlimited card with clubcard vouchers but I'm grateful to the OP for posting this. I'll make sure we put some aside to buy next years ticket ... if the deal is still on!

£11 for the avengers? its going to be that price on DVD when it comes out in 4 months for unlimited views.

id never go to a cinema these days at the full prices, charging an arm and a leg, plus more for 3D which i detest.

id definatelty go for this if i ever had that many points and had one on my doorstep, id go and see a film every week, £75 over 52 weeks = £1.50 per film, i could go for that.

even the £15 per month offer isnt bad when its costing people that to see one film with nibbles. again though id be trying to get 15 films in, so even if its a stinker its only £1 per film.

Cold for me sorry . Does not seem a very good Tesco deal, still pretty pricey.

Give them to me if you want...I will treat the kids!;)

Cinema Pros: Big screen, good 3D experience, great sound.

Cinema Cons: Expensive, 30mins of adverts, may get crap seats, expensive food (unless you sneak some in), retards who leave their phone on, sticky floors, people who get up mid way to go to the toilet, people chomping on popcorn, the occasional attention seeker brings their infant who screams their head off.

Come on its easy to sneak food in especially if your not single get your wife or gf to put it in her handbag.

who the hell gets £75 worth of clubcard vouchers!?!?!

I got £65 worth in Feb but I buy stuff for our shop from there so that adds up.

Me and my fiancee have this. Jumped last year just before the price hike so currently pay £13.49. Going up soon to the £14.99. We reckoned we had to go twice a month to make it worth our while at £7.50 a single ticket or whatever it is. It's good incentive for us to make an effort and get us out of the house once a week on a date night. Have a nice meal and go see a film. And as a nurse she works shifts so she can go see films when I'm at work and me when she's at work.

I don't really mind the surcharge for 3D per se. I get it costs more blah blah blah. My issue with it is when they (in my opinion deliberately) ONLY show certain films in 3D where no 2D option exists. There were 3 films in Jan / Feb I wanted to see where my local Cineworld only showed 3D (Underworld, Ghost rider II and the Darkest Hour or something)

I wrote a complaint and got the standard rubbishy corporate response. Didn't buy it then and don't now. 3D isn't as big as they all expected it to be and I suspect most Unlimited card holders won't pay the surcharge so by only showing it in 3D they force you to pay...........unless you get a ticket for another films 2D performance and sneak in. Not done it yet but if they keep on only showing 3D I wouldn't have the slightest guilt in doing so.

Why do people need to 'sneak' food in?

They allow you to take in as much food as you want in my local cineworld.

Possible that I'm being thick, but wouldn't you have to spend £7,500 to have that many clubcard vouchers...

That's around £140 every week... OUCH !

If I had that sort of money to spend on groceries, I probably wouldn't be on hotukdeals looking to say a tenner on a telly, or a fiver on a computer game!
