This was Leeds adel

also High Wycombe

Same deal in Stevenage but out of stock

anyone know if this is in gloucester

Do you need to mix this or do you just drink it straight?

Any reason why we wouldn't be better to just go and buy a bottle of Amaretto for about £5.75 from Aldi?

I think you can enjoy it both ways, as long as you don't mind straight vodka. It's still gonna kick though...

i hate to be the one to tell you this, but smirnoff is a terrible, terrible vodka. ditto russian standard, for that matter. i'd rather have red square or vladivar or green square if i'm mixing it, but i wouldn't drink any of them neat.

ciroc is a much higher quality vodka, closer to the likes of belvedere or grey goose. that said, i much prefer luksusowa or stolichnaya (which are both cheaper than those - £14-18 a bottle - and personally i think they're actually better vodkas, too) - although if you can stretch to crystal skull vodka, i can't recommend that one enough. bloody expensive, though. the chase potato vodkas are really good, too, if a little more expensive than the imports.

generally, i'd suggest that you look for a potato-based vodka such as luksusowa or chase as they'll generally be smoother and slightly sweeter (even if the russians claim vociferously that grain is better, potato vodka is actually harder to make and those that make it generally take a lot more care when they do). if you have to go grain, try stolichnaya red (or black, if you want a more expensive but smoother version). keep it in the freezer, too, so it goes slightly gloopy.

vodka has a higher percentage of alcohol, and doesn't flavour what you mix it with.

plus amaretto makes me think of the biscuits and i get hungry.

oh, and vodka doesn't tend to hit you with as bad a hangover because it has fewer of the nasty compounds that cause them.

Damn I just paid £30 at tesco, is it national?

This might be a kind clearance item as in the ASDA I work for we got only got loads of this over Christmas time but now hardly get any cases in. The other ones Red berry and Blue sell really well but I'm sure there £35 each. £15 is an absolute steal

Thanks OP got this today at this price at my local.

The red berry and another flavour were down to £20 clearance. Side note I also bought zubrowka for £15 reduced from 20

I got a bottle of the Ciroc Amaretto for £15 in ASDA Govan, all other varieties were £38 though

I was nice. oddly I didn't really taste it when I had it straight, but mixed with some coke the flavour comes through quite nicely

Asda's Liscard store (Wirral) also has it @ £15. All other versions full price.

Got this in Hazel Grove

Be wary that the staff seem to keep this in the back. I bought a couple and the shelf was empty but the guy bought be out a bottle from the back.
