Pretty good, voted hot, a useful size plus 500watt power supply, probably worth it for the power supply alone.
And I think if you register and post on this forum

avforums.com/for…php

You should get free delivery (if you make up the pre vat price to £20)

A couple of 6metre (useful length!) poer cables should do it:

Looks as though a standard one will fit see:

(about half way down)
Looks as though you might have to modify the case to get the mains plug to fit. Do not use a drill or file to do this! Use a cutter ideally.

Why not use a file? I'm assuming that you would strip down the case completely before doing any work and then vacuum it out afterwards.

I'd do some research if I were you ... I'm pretty sure that the dell 5xxx series machines use their own 'non standard' psu's ... you could well fry the motherboard with a standard one ....

thanks "jasee" and "zoopakev" for your comments . appreciated:thumbsup:

BEWARE using a none Dell power supply as I don't think they are standard wired and you will fry other parts.

Dell used to ship many computers which used motherboards and power … Dell used to ship many computers which used motherboards and power supplies which looked like plain old ATX but were not really ATX at all. If you plugged a real ATX power supply into the motherboard then things went kaboom (or frzzzzzap or ...). Sadly, some large computer vendors like to lock customers into buying upgrades from them rather from a third party. That's nasty enough but Dell built their non-standard computers and motherboards with what looked like standard ATX components. You only found out otherwise once sparks started flying. The Dell PCs which were carrying this ticking time-bomb were made between 1996 and 2000. If you're replacing a Dell power supply from this era then you should call Dell and make sure it's not a proprietary design. And if they say yes then be sure to voice your displeasure. This is an evil business practice which should stop. ]SOURCE

EDIT:

Maybe they are OK now.

why buy this for £21 when for £40 you could pick up a decent complete p4 base unit?

Because people may not have / want to spend £40!!!!

Blew my Mesh PSU after 8 or 9 years of heavy battering the other day, so this might be worth a look provided my mobo is still alive!

Wrong, Dell have been using standard PSUs for a long time. I actually have a Dimension 5150 with a Cooler Master PSU in it.

Case looks ok, but get rid of the PSU if you need a quiet one.

Great price.

Although, I prefer to cases that can take 120mm fans, as they are much quieter.

I've been on the look out for a case for a new computer build recently, I'm thinking the Coolermaster Elite 335 is looking decent for £30.

It doesn't come with a psu tho!

The CM Elite 335 is a good case, ive just finished an i7 build in one, runs nice and cool

Much extra though - I've had one before, and it was really nice, easy to use, and kept everything cool.
£30 on it's own, and this one is £40 with a 350w psu.

Been umming and ahhing over getting one.
