5 year warranty as long as watch is serviced by them every 18 months and basically covers nothing. I love citizen watches but hate bs warranties puts me off buying another as they obviously have no confidence in there own products or they would offer a true warranty.
31279449-uBiJs.jpgwhy would you need warranty anyway? It's virtually indestructible, and if anything goes wrong with it within two years just send it back to Amazon who will fix it providing you haven't abused it!
I've had this watch for about 2 years now, it never misses a beat I also have, amongst others, a Longines, Seiko Kinetic auto relay and a Raymond Weil. This watch is awesome and this is a great price. I saw it today at H Samuel for £399, Heated!
Haha. 'Atomic timekeeping' This used to be a rarity but now thousands (probably) of types of watches check and correct their time by this method. More commonly know as radio controlled. What is slightly unusual however is apparently being able to draw power from any light source. I have several Casios (sorry) which do only require sunlight and sometimes go into an energy saving mode at night if they haven't had enough during the day because they had been covered by my sleeve.
I have the black version of this watch and I love it. Cracking watch.
Same here and burnt out getting watches which are good deals. I picked a variety of older models at 80% reductions a couple of years ago. Now need new batteries ,not like this one
That's a nice looking watch, heat added
If this was the titanium version - Citizen AT4011-57L for this price, I would have in my basket in a heartbeat!
Heat, nevertheless!
Have this watch and it's great. Looks amazing and runs like a dream. You can spend any sort of money you want on a watch but at this price point can't think of many better.
If it's as reliable and long-lasting as the commenters say then just buy one second-hand for £100 or so

I got that one at Chisholm Hunter 3 weeks ago for £329. Great watch and super lightweight.

The next cheapest place is HS Johnson at £359
Had the black one of these on my Amazon watch list for ages now, love the look of these watches.

It's called atomic timekeeping because the time signal is determined by atomic clocks.
Solar cells will work with any light, it all has photons.

Yes, I know

Yes but it seems artificial light doesn't work as well as sunlight (at least for solar watches) And the solar watch chargers seem to produce a bluish light.
I have the black version of this watch for 3 years now. The black coating is still fine and I wear it every day. The watch seems to pick up the light even indoors as the charge level never dropped even to the medium. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the set it and forget watches and the design of this particular model.

Original discounted price was £234. It's now gone up to £284
So how strong is the Radio signal from Germany in the UK?

Ordered at original price (£234) yesterday and arrived today via Amazon Locker. However refuses to sync via Radio. Hitting the signal strength indicator shows NO reception. If I put it into Manual Signal Reception, it takes some time, indicates Low strength but still doesn't sync the time correctly. Set to LON timezone of course....

I am in Surrey, so would expect this to be a reasonable strength - Is is a bad weather day or should I be concerned ?

I remember having frustration when I first got mine but once I set it 5 years ago I've never had to touch it. Let me read the manual. Have you set the date?
it does help if the weather is clear. If mine doesn't re-calibrate overnight then I manually set my watch to receive the signal and leave it on next to a window for 10 minutes or so. Also, the watch shouldn't really be moved during the calibration process.

For anyone else purchasing this type of watch for the first time, the radio sync is at full strength on the second day.

Most probably a charge issue (i.e. not fully charged), or possibly weather related.....

Got the black one for £168 as an amazon warehouse deal. Was described as 'acceptable' but seems more or less mint. Very pleased!
