So I can use code at the store?
For £269rrp you'd expect sapphire glass but otherwise it's a nice watch. Good find
I like it, nice looking watch.

Good deal with the voucher ;-)

Thing that annoys me about Argos is this -

love the eco drives, great watches for the price.

Indeed but you realise that a metal watch 'strap' is referred to as a 'bracelet'? Whereas one made of leather or fabric are commonly called straps?

Sorry but I certainly don't.
Having to wag my hand " in a certain way" to start it off, set the time and possibly date every time I put one on ( I have over 20 watches) is a bore.
I won't buy an automatic winder as I could buy another watch for the price.
You do realise eco drives don't require you to "wag your hand in a certain way" or set the date/time every time you put it on? Eco drive watches use artificial and natural light to power the battery so that you should never need to replace it. Hence the term "eco drive".

Oops!
Thank you.
I thought they were automatic.

Is this one better than this … Is this one better than this model?http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4174585.htm

They are both same spec... So it's just a matter of preference. I'd advise to go and try it on. These have quite large faces

Wag your hand in a certain way? these run off light?? i dont have quite as many watches as 20, however my collection does varey from Seiko, citizen to my breitling superocean and a TW steele. However my eco drive is comfy and perfect for everyday. i couldnt buy a better watch for the price.

No worries, glad to have helped clarify. Would be a shame to pass on an eco drive on that basis. I bought one a few years ago and it's genuinely one of my favourite pieces. More so for the fact my model is made of titanium so it's very lightweight on my wrist. Looks amazing too.
So the code only works on Click and Collect not home delivery! Also found this one online too! JEWEL20

Seems to go up and down in price quite a lot this watch but this is the best I've seen it at.

It was on display in the local Argos and it's quite nice and with the 5 year guarantee you can't go wrong.
Great deal, many thanks
I don't have one of these, as it seems they don't have perpetual dates.

So if you like having a watch where you need to adjust the date five times a year then go for it.
Now expired midnight 27/10
Just used code in-store this afternoon & got the watch for £103.99 & a £10 voucher for spending over £100 !
Thanks, just used it in store too, though does seem to have expired online?

This has expired and I checked with the chat function to be advised that it has expired in store also. Gutted...I was going to pick one up for a Xmas present....you snooze you lose!
I used the chat function too where I was told it had expired last night but having seen tomatoman's comment I tried my local store this afternoon. I explained that I thought the code may well of expired but the assistant said well let's see if it works on the till, what watch do you want? Very pleased to find out it worked and she mentioned it would work with all watch and jewellery stuff.
I tried today at the till and the code was still working and also received 10 pounds voucher to use till december.
Happy with my new watch looks great.
Code still works instore! picked up my first watch today it was half price at £350 and used the code to get it down to £280. link
Code still works in-store. Got one today. Thanks :-)
Does anyone know how the black will hold up to everyday wear,? Does it scratch easily?
