Thought this was a bargain for just £0.01p might not be everybody's cup of tea but it's a bit of light humor and I enjoy it very much.

"It's Christmas Eve, 10 months after Shazia and Amjad's wedding. Mr Khan is feeling extremely festive - he's even got a new Christmas suit. And what's more, this year he's been given the honour of placing the star on top of the Sparkhill interfaith Christmas tree. But when the whole family gathers at the Khan house to head out to the ceremony, it turns out that Shazia has other plans. A frantic chain of events is set in motion, in what can only be described as The Greatest Pakistani Christmas Story Ever Told."

rotten turd

They'd have to pay me

Stereotypical racism parading as comedy belongs in the 70's with Jim davdisons chalky character.

i shall pass this onto the local comooonity

Do people really find this show funny ? Because I've tried watching it a few times and I just don't find it funny :-(

This particular show and character must be top 5 of the biggest pieces of clap trap **** the BBC have inflicted upon us.

I player it for free?

1p, oh no, far too expensive Mrs Khan.

Or just watch it for free on Iplayer and save yourself a penny. It's not as if you'd want to watch it more than once anyway...

Not worth the .01p, BBC are a bit too eager to make fun a of event held dearly by many Christains, can you imagine BBC doing this on the flip side and offending some other faith, oops, inter-faith......nah !

I think the aim is overdo the stereotype to make it a parody, but still comes across as offensive.

Can't say I've had a good hoot but its raised the corners of my mouth on occasion.

Its just a bit of light entertainment in itself but the fact that it brings out the "my show is cooler than your show" crowd makes it all the funnier. Numpties!

Cheers OP

Same type of comedy as Mrs Brown's boys. But i do enjoy watching it. Is free on iPlayer, won't be watching it again as not that great. I did laugh at my orthopedic doctors face when he said his name was dr.khan

I really enjoy it myself, possibly as I'm pretty familiar with the culture. This Christmas episode was a real hoot and pretty heartwarming too.

It's not about being cooler. It's about being funnier.

Now-a-days the BBC take no risks with comedy and just scrape the barrel for any old dross.

Also this show could've been shown in the 70's and wouldn't look out of place.

Christmas hell for me at the inlaws...

Nope. Still over priced by at least 2p.

Just watch it for free on BBC iPlayer?! Why pay 1p for it?

Why are people moaning and whinging about it? Its a funny programme, if you don't find it so then don't watch it and don't click on the post about it! Next you'll be saying Miranda isn't funny!!!! oO

Available for FREE on iplayer, how is this a bargain for a sub-par "comedy" show?

Agreed. When I first heard of it I thought it was going to be a parody of those type of shows, some sort of ironic satire on the ignorance we'd left behind.

But alas, it was not the case.

Although I guess it could be worse, this could be Dapper Laughs. At least this guy isn't a rapist.

Curious, do you believe everyone finds the same thing funny? Do you think that if people who like watching Citizen Khan were to watch your favourite comedy they would automatically find it funnier? May I ask what you do find funny (really hoping you don't say celebrity juice).

My favourite comedy show is Probably Fist of Fun or The Thick Of It.

Dire

i find this to be a funny show. not 'only fools and horses' funny, but not bad. certainly hot for 1p.
some people should stop trying to be offended. if you don't like it, don't watch. simple as that.

Enjoyable.... but I can't stand celebrity juice and have often thought that Leigh Francis must actually be a master magician to pull that one off (pardon the pun) but I do accept that as long as there are people out there who do like to watch it then there is a place for it on our screens. These days there are plenty of other options to turn to.

I find Miranda absolutely hilarious. That and Not Going Out are a couple of my favs (along with Citizen Khan)

I think the problem with this show is that it would have been funny 20 years ago along with what was acceptable at the time, but comedy has evolved.

That's why, in my opinion, David Jason doesn't cut it trying to mimic Arkwright in doing Open All Hours again - because it's been done, and it was funny for a different generation.

Citizen Khan is 'current' in the subject, but the style of comedy is from many eons ago. Sure some people find it funny, perhaps those that have not grown up on previous stuff the BBC has done... I personally find it stomach churningly awful.

All that said, hot for the deal!
