Strange that. I don't know about this particular watch, but I think my analogue kinetic date has to be set a certain way otherwise it'll change when it's 12 midday! Wonder if those people are having this problem?

Found this from the manual online:

*Do not adjust the calendar when the watch is reading between 9:00 pm and 4:00 am, otherwise the movement may become damaged and the calendar may not change correctly.

It does look good I'm tempted

And so is this from Cornwall to Wales to London to Manchester to Scotland (sorry N. Ireland it seems) when I've just looked.

Nice citizen, Ive got one, bit on the small size for a "modern" watch but nevertheless a good mans watch

Nice, heat.

Both of my eco-drive watches start to change the date around 10-11pm and complete around 1pm. It's really quite a minor inconvenience compared to, say, buying batteries

Tempted by this, how thick is the case? I've got a titanium one I got off Ebay for around £60, 8+ years ago, and it's worked flawlessly ever since, but I could do with a rough one for wearing when cycling/diy - I really don't fancy paying the current price to replace the more expensive model.

Only thing to watch, if you need a service (especially a full one if the screen gets cracked) then you're looking at a cost greater than the price of the watch.

Maybe an Argos exclusive, which kinda puts me off. Nice looking 'proper' watch tho.

Is on Amazon UK, but not available and on Amazon US. I think it is an older model, that's all.

It looks a nice watch, but the crown looks too long and prone to catching wrist/base of palm and adjusting date/time involuntary.

Had this issue with my last two analogue watches that shared the design of a guard either side of crown, and what appears a lower profile crown than this Citizen.

I can see what you mean, it does seem to protrude a bit, but the crown has to be pulled out once to adjust the date and again for the time, so would have thought it difficult to accidentally change.

Can be washed, but also appears to be easily changed as read some reports of people finding it stiff/rough.

Sorry mate I meant the one I posted I was after, not the one the thread is about! Sorry!

Anyone know the model of rechargeable battery and if it's the same as replacing a regular watch battery?

Edit:
Don't take the back off to check, if watch still under warranty, as meant to void manufacturers warranty according to Argos Q&A.

You shouldn't have to replace the battery, at least not for many years. I read somewhere that they're designed for something like 20 year lifetimes.

Dont think the technology has been around for 10 years yet so nobody really knows about battery replacement.
