I'm not sure the face is busy enough...
When I'm zooming along in traffic in diamond formation I need to be able to quickly glance at the face and see if I'll be home in time for tea. Not with this one I won't.

This has been cheaper, but if you want one now, then this is an excellent price.
Nice watch horrible strap
Wife likes a leather strap
Would look beautiful with a black leather strap with red trim. My advice if it's the current strap thats stopping you buying this, get a springbar tool off ebay and do it yourself! I was amazed how easy it was to replace straps when I got into watches and couldn't beleive people pay to have it done!

Yes, but is it not like buying a classic car and fit modern alloy wheels..? Or an expensive car with cheap wheels?

Depends on where you get the strap. The china versions on ebay would be "cheap wheels" but you can also handmade real quality leather straps that would be like putting expensive wheels on a expsive car!

Never buy anything just because it's a "Limited Edition" or because its discounted by x amount. Only buy because you genuinely like it (or you've done your research and it's an investment piece).
Personally this meets neither criteria. Not voting either way as i'm sure it's a good price compared to elsewhere.

Vote hot if it's a good price, that's what hukd is for.
Not quite sure what to make of these eco drive watches. The tech is cool, but it's essentially a quarts watch with a calculator like solar panel built in the face.

Casio is a fine watch, it was heavily endorsed by the late John Candy in the film Plans, Trains and Automobiles.

I think I explained my thoughts pretty well and didn't do the tit move of voting cold based off of my own opinion. For me to vote hot I'd have to research other prices which i'm not interested in doing so remain neutral.
Rightly or wrongly I was just passing on hard learnt experience that relates to every purchase one should make. As a watch guy I'd hate for someone to get carried away with a "limited ed" offer and over spend on something they think will become more valuable in the future. Applies to clothes, TV's, cars anything. If you like it that's all good. Yes yes, ultimately it's their choice etc ... i know. Maybe i got caught up in a moment of wisdom sharing. Anyway...have a good day reader.
300 quid for a 50 quid watch....

Yeah but...you were saying don't buy. They said vote hot. Different things, and you are both right.

With respect at no point did I say "don't buy" this watch/deal etc. I was merely giving out honest advise to anyone about to splash out on possibly their first big watch purchase. I may have failed miserably on this occasion?

I'm all for this site being about the deal (price is all relative to what one can afford). It's just these litited edition this that and the other gets thrown about by manufacturers quite a lot nowadays. I just didn't want anyone getting suckered in to buy for that reason alone.

I can tell by myself I've written way too much on this now and don't wanna be that over opinionated guy screwing up what probably is a best price deal so will shut myself up.
Regards.

No watch anywhere near this price range would ever be an investment piece.

Fully aware of that mate but someone not so watch savvy might think this "Limited Edition Red Arrows 5000 pieces" might be. £339 in the real watch world is peanuts but there was a time when that would've been my top end watch budget. I just know better know which is why I decided (maybe regretfully now) to share my thoughts.

Mate, stop apologising and stand by your opinion! You were absolutely right.
