I have only been insured for 12 years but I think I have paid around £3500 for all those years combined. Currently paying £180 per year on a golf. my fist year was £1100 aged 20, then £650 for my second and below £400 ever since. The best thing about being old is cheap car insurance! Enjoy your teenage years lol
good deal for me

Took the words out my mouth mate lol.
Is this a deal? £1500 for a year. I paid 3500 for 2 years on a diesel ds3. (Which I subsequently bought because I love it.. And I've only ever seen one exactly the same in the three years I've now had it). I still saved over £1000 from buying it from Citroen too.

F+++ing what? How much! Aw well look on the bright side that 3.5k can be spent on. Something awesome like fish fingers or strawberry angel delight or hubba bubba (cola flavour obviously)
Seems a bit expensive, I've posted lease deals for the 1.2 flair which were only £20-£30 a month more over the term averaged out. Still, just over £4 a day to hire a car isn't bad.

Honestly ive given up on trying to get insured. 3.5k is the lowest quote ive been given black box or not. Getting insured on my one of my parents cars is useless as well, they are both over 2.0l engines so the price shoots up by 5k.
gonna get this.. hot
I think it's a no brainer!
Have you tried putting your parents on your insurance as named drivers, that usually brings prices down?
horrible little noddy cars.

would rather walk everywhere than drive one of these devil cars

Any advice, tried everything i could. Experienced named drivers, black box, a huge range of cars anything i could think of ideally something around the £1500-£2000 is where i would consider buying.

Totally agree, It brought my daughters insurance down by nearly £1500 just by adding me and the wife as named drivers plus my daughter gets to earn her own no claims discount.

I'm shocked. No wonder loads of people are simply not getting insurance. The fine can't be much worse than being legit.

a fine a criminal record and the potential of prison should be a deterrent. Clearly it isn't as there are so many uninsured drivers.

A cheap bike at each end. Or an expensive bike at each end would still be cheaper!

I never held my own insurance until I was 21 due to the price. Just had to go on both my parents insurance and borrow their car. Luckily my dad never used his car much so was very rarely without wheels. It's a real nightmare for young drivers - and their parents.

Cool - show us the deal for free bikes please
Is this just for business users??
Because the lad is in Manchester that is why insurance so high. I had a hot hatch years ago and was late 20's and they wanted just over a grand....moved to Shropshire and it went down by 25% with no change in no claims bonus...shocking!
