You probably know Citymapper as a super-useful app that makes sense of London’s complex knot of transport options, helping you get from A to B even if you’re half-asleep, half-cut or stranded in Zone 8.
But the startup has also been running a few transport services of its own recently, notably the CM2 night bus and a network of shared black cabs. Today it’s launched the next phase of the experiment, and you can try it for free.

I have a lot of time and appreciation for companies that do something to benefit the public without making a song and dance.

Songs and dances are also good if they are for the public good. Voted hot.
Information is currency.
This is great work
It is a good App, better than the one I was using 'Buschecker'
They’ve spent millions on the Citymapper app with no transparency as to who’s funding them. There’s been too many private companies who try to kill off publicly funded bus routes then disappear when they’ve killed them off and decided they can’t make enough money.

Too many? So what, they are privately owned, they can do what they want with their money.
Your link is to the previous announcement of the cabs, as of this time they haven't posted the new article of what their next phase is

Edit: Guardian link is more appropriate. theguardian.com/tec…app
