Cheapy cheap deal for the full edition! I'm an avid Civ fan and have been playing these since the mid 90's. I haven't had a PC good enough to run 6, but I have Civ 5 and it's brilliant imo. Here's the blurb....

The Definitive Civilization V Collection. Sid Meier's Civilization V: The Complete Edition includes the original 2010 Game of the Year award-winning strategy game, plus the two critically-acclaimed expansion packs (gods & kings and brave new world) and all of the released add-on content in one complete package. Play as one of 43 historical leaders and wage war by land, sea, and air, conduct diplomacy & espionage, establish religious beliefs, and discover new technologies in your quest to build the most powerful empire the world has ever known.

Includes:

  • Sid Meier’s Civilization V
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Gods & Kings
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Brave New World
  • Civilization Pack: Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar II)

Some will say it's been cheaper before, maybe a year ago, but time machines cost more than £7.99

It's currently £32.50 for the complete edition on steam, and about £30 for a physical copy on Amazon. There's probably a few "key" sites around the £8-10, but this is currently the cheapest (and most reputable) place I've seen it.

It's expired.
This is a good price for a great game.

I’m in the same position as the OP my current MacBook won’t play Civ 6 else I would be playing that now instead I’m still enjoying hours of game time on this
Will 6 ever top this? I don't think so. Too many crap design decisions and a buggy base game - even by Civ standards - and so now they're adding more complexity on top of it with an expansion before they rectify the core. Bit of a mess.

1300hrs on Civ 5 and counting
Good price, ordered. Thanks
Value for money on this deal is enormous. Many players get hundreds of hours of playtime in civ games, although it can get out of hand due to the addictive game play.

Civ games are known for requiring expansions to make them good. Civ 5 is the best in the series imo.

I'm enjoying it, but it still doesn't kick Civ 2 out of my mind in terms of enjoyment
I found civ V frustrating. The minute you try any serious warfare you get crippled by unhappiness if you capture many cities. You almost have to convince city states to finish off the AI. Penalties of 4-5+ unhappiness at least for each captured city. The start is interesting for each game. The rest requires a lot of patience. Especially if you go tall instead of wide. I never got this 1 unit per tile thing.

Not suprised Civ 6 is being discounted now. There is a new expansion out in Feb 2018. The game has had several patches now so it is somewhat improved.
